Sassy Moment/Thoughts on piercings

I had a sassy moment the other day at my job, involving a customer mentioning a co-worker of mine who was recently hired on. This co-worker has multiple piercings, including a nose-ring, and a pretty hipster hairstyle. I for one think he looks cool, since I'm trying to get pierced again this year.

Anyway, the customer starts up "Who would go to work like that? You would think his head would be a little too heavy with all that metal."

I replied "I know, right?? Heaven forbid somebody is different around here!" and I just kept scanning and bagging. The customer nodded in agreement for about 4 seconds before they realized what I said, shut their mouth, and just left with their bags after paying.

Seriously people, shut the fuck up about piercings. Doesn't make any fucking difference to you, and it's not harming anyone. Unless he has words like "PUSSY" or "COCKSUCKER" tattoo'd across his forehead, LEAVE HIM BE.

Also, to the offices that force their workers to take out their gagues...WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU WANT TO LOOK AT SOMEONE'S DROOPY EAR SKIN INSTEAD OF SOMETHING SHINY???

If they really want to seem more professional, they should just say to only wear black or silver piercings on the job. No really bright colors, no symbols, etc. Black and silver piercings look great with suits.

Anyway, small rant.
