The Story
The story's meaning is a huge debate amongst the NGE community, but I think it symbolises that the good of life cannot exist without the bad. Whether your plodding through life one day at a time or have a huge ambition in your life, but it's how you interpret it.
With this series, everyone will have a different experience from one another and finding a message yourself is what makes this such an amazing read.
The Characters
The characters are all very complex and interesting, but I have a few problems with the characters.
Some of them are completely forgotten by the end of the series and you wonder why they were in the series at all. They're given enough development for you to be interested in them, but when a big event happens, they are never seen again and you don't know how they felt about it or if they found out the truth of what happened. (If you read this manga, you will know what I mean)
The Art
The art is solid, but nothing unique. It is definitely nice to look at, but it definitely isn't a masterpiece.
Final Thoughts
Overall, this manga is one of the best out there, the story is interesting, the characters are very interesting and the art is well drawn.
