Scene: Library - Gakushuu Asano is sitting at a table with his neat stack of notes. Rio Nakamura walks in with her casual charm, books tucked under her arm. They’re supposed to be studying together. Karma lurks nearby, pretending to read but clearly listening in.
Rio: [smirking] So, student council prince, you’re really okay studying with me? What if someone from A-class sees you with an E-classer?
Gakushuu: [sighs] If anyone has a problem with it, that’s their lack of intelligence, not mine. You’re capable, and I respect that. Besides, competence isn’t defined by your classroom.
Karma: [snorts loudly from the next table] Wow. Respect? From you? Careful, Asano, if you keep talking like that people might think you actually have a heart.
Gakushuu: [annoyed glare] I have standards, not a lack of them. Unlike you.
Rio: [grinning at Karma] Hear that? He’s being nice to me. Almost sounds like he’s… defending me.
Karma: Ohhh, I see what’s going on here. Little library date? Asano, you’ve gone soft.
Gakushuu: [flustered] It’s called studying, Akabane. Some of us care about academic excellence.
Rio: [leaning closer with a teasing smile] Mhm. And here I thought you just liked my company.
Karma: [smirking devilishly] Pfft—he totally does. Look at him. Redder than my hair~
Gakushuu: [snaps notebook shut] I came here to study, not to endure harassment from E-class and its clown representative.
Rio: [cheerfully] Harassment builds character.
Karma: Guess that means Asano’s gonna be a very well-rounded guy by the end of this.
