I think KH is full of QPRs waiting to happen. allow me to present my list of potential QPRs for your consideration:
Soriku + Kairi. obviously. I just think they've been through so much that they're inseparable in every possible way a trio can be. like yeah Sora and Riku are in love but Kairi is so important to them and vice versa that it would be weird to not include her in that. she's their chosen soulmate and they're hers. (also yes I decided my Kairi is bellusromantic specifically because of QPR Sorikai. the fluff potential. it is simply too beautiful to pass up)
Naminé and Xion. we need more sapphic QPRs in this fandom, and I feel like these two are the perfect candidates for one. they're best friends, but they're also life partners and are part of each other's chosen families. do you see the vision?
Roxas and Xion. their relationship always felt so queer to me, idk how else to explain it.
Aqua and Terra. they grew up together, like they're close enough to be family but it's not quite the same. unbreakable AND undefinable bond. (btw this doesn't make them any less close to Ven! I only read their dynamic with him as different from a QPR because he's younger than them. the trio is still unbreakable as ever in this scenario!)
if they ever got to meet, Strelitzia and Ven. this is mostly based on vibes, I just feel like it suits them.
Repliku and Vanitas (or as I call them, Rikomi and Vani). they are T4T in my version of this scenario btw (Rikomi is transfem, Vani is agender with he/they pronouns). also because of my aplatonic Vani headcanon, QPRs are basically the only close relationship he feels comfortable with. they absolutely refuse to call what they have with Rikomi friendship though, because screw your definitions. I like to call him "chaotic aspec", lol.
Repliku/Rikomi and Naminé. it just makes sense!!
Axel/Lea and Saïx/Isa. whatever they have going on counts as a QPR in my book. my favorite descriptions of them are: divorced but never married (divorced friends? lol), coworkers with codependency issues, and of course, brothers but in a Sailor Moon localization error type of way, iykwim. (that one is heavily /j, I just had to include it because it made me laugh)
Maleficent and Pete. my running joke about them is that they're the QPR no one asked for- not because their relationship is bad/toxic or anything like that (though it definitely is sometimes lol), but because they are a menace to every world they've ever visited together, and I love them for it. they don't care about anything except 1: they need each other and 2: they're gonna get that damn box if it kills them. and they do not care who gets caught in the crossfire as long as it's not each other lmao. not romantic, not platonic, but a secret third thing: Disturbance of the Peace
Lauriam and Elrena. again mostly based on vibes, but after everything they've been through together... it just makes sense to me that they'd have a queerplatonic relationship once they're no longer Marluxia and Larxene.
that is the end of my list for now. my headcanons for any other relationships in the series that haven't been mentioned here are either friendships or familial bonds (both biological and chosen). there is definitely more discussion to be had though, feel free to share your thoughts on my ideas or throw some new QPR headcanons at me. :)
