Hi there Euny! 🧡 I'm going to ask you Pulsar, Antares and Eclipse for the Gentle Galactic Asks if you want to answer. I hope you have a lovely day!
Hi @saretton! Thank you for the ask! <3 I hope you’re well today!
Pulsar: do you have a catchphrase?
I don’t think so. I thought about whether there’s something that I say a lot a lot, at least, and probably, “Tell me more” ranks real highly. As a beta, as a therapist, as a friend. I just say it a lot.
Antares: your favourite and least favourite hairstyles
People should do whatever they want to do with their own hair. Say what one will about mullets, my best friend rocked one for a good part of last year. What else is being an old dyke *for*?
For me, it has to be something I can accomplish in 6 minutes or less and with only pins or clips and aloe gel as hair gel. Hair dryers or curlers or anything more complex than that and I don’t want to put up with it. Anything involving teasing hair for more volume is a big no. Anything that means more than one swoop of hair in my face is a no.
I’m doing this asymmetrical part twisty side thing with pins lately that I’m pretty into. And I’m growing my hair out because of current events, in the hopes of being able to braid and french braid it again (also so I don’t need to get my hair cut).
Eclipse: some quotes that mean a lot to you
It’s hard to choose, when there are so many clever, beautiful and touching combinations of words in this world, but here are a couple I adore, from Lemony Snicket, an astute observer of the human spirit who is probably on the run from falsified charges as you read this.
“Everyone, at some point in their lives, wakes up in the middle of the night with the feeling that they are all alone in the world, and that nobody loves them now and that nobody will ever love them, and that they will never have a decent night's sleep again and will spend their lives wandering blearily around a loveless landscape, hoping desperately that their circumstances will improve, but suspecting, in their heart of hearts, that they will remain unloved forever. The best thing to do in these circumstances is to wake somebody else up, so that they can feel this way, too.” ― Lemony Snicket, Horseradish
“It is a curious thing, the death of a loved one. We all know that our time in this world is limited, and that eventually all of us will end up underneath some sheet, never to wake up. And yet it is always a surprise when it happens to someone we know. It is like walking up the stairs to your bedroom in the dark, and thinking there is one more stair than there is. Your foot falls down, through the air, and there is a sickly moment of dark surprise as you try and readjust the way you thought of things.” ― Lemony Snicket, Horseradish
The ask list.
