Galiot, mini War Galley
Galiot
OMG new name! new name! new character?
Haha, not exactly
The fae realm is the connection to all of my other stories, therefore, characters from other stories might make cameo appearances
See Frederick and the Fae Promise
Frederick is not one of my yandere ocs, and his story doesn't exist around a Reader, but I think you might enjoy his stories all the same! It's a fantasy realm
The fae just casually kidnapping baby Frederick
Galiot saving Frederick (for now):
A fun little find on Gallica today in an 18th-century scrapbook of documents pertaining to the Grands and Premiers écuyers of France.
A copy of a tapestry made for Jacques de Genouillac, dit Galiot (1465-1546), who was Grand écuyer de France under François Ier. Around the edges there are references to his having been the Grand Maître de l'artillerie. As Galiot styled himself as a kind of Hercules due to his military prowess, in the middle you have baby Hercules fighting the serpents. Above that, you have his motto "J'aime fortune" which at once expresses his bravado, but can also cryptically be read as "J'aime fort une".
And of course, anyone who was anyone at that time had a Clouet of themselves, so here he is:
In case y'all wanted to know what Galiot from Frederick's story looks like, here he is!
(If you're wondering why his outfits in the bottom two pics don't match up with the medieval vibe, that's because Galiot was initially created for a pirate-era au)
