The building is usually blocked by huge overgrowth but when the leaves have fallen, you can catch a glimpse of it from the road. Neopets review: Drackonack or Gallion if you haven't yet?

Gallions are pretty cute. They're from Meridell and are, unsurprisingly, pretty standard dragons. However, they do have a fun charm to them with their tiny wings, distinctive furry manes, and ridged horns. The most notable thing about them is that they're blue and orange, which is an usual palette that does admittedly work pretty well for them due to how striking it is.

My only issue with the default Gallion is that the purple wings feel like a weird choice. Either make them gray to match the horns or make them blue to match the rest of the palette. Other than that, the base Gallion is pretty good—and it has even better colour options.

Favorite Colours:

Maraquan: I just really like the natural integration of the fins here, especially with the tail. Beyond that, the mane looks really nice; stopping short of the chest in favor of it flowing freely around the body. The head fins and countershading are also nice touches.

Faerie: The faerie Gallion has a very nice pastel orange, purple, and pink palette that swaps the usual gray horns for white ones. It also gets a nice unique pose. Strictly speaking, the design doesn't change that much, but I'm willing to give it a pass seeing as they're working with little space.

Zombie: And now for something completely different. The zombie Gallion looks the part, with a surprising amount of visible bones sticking out of its tail and wings. The fur is matted, the eyes are cloudy, and the horn is missing a chunk out of it. The muted blues of the color palette and dripping green slime from the mouth really help sell the "undead" thing as well.

Least Favorite Colour:

Darigan: Don't get me wrong, the Darigan Gallion's not the worst thing ever, and there are basic colours that are blander. However, I just find it to be very underwhelming, as it...doesn't really look all that Darigan-y. I get that making a draconic Petpet look more draconic is hard, but this barely changes outside of adding stripes, a nose horn, and a spike above the wing. I'm also not the biggest fan of the low-contrast red and purple either.

I feel like the tail could've had a devil point to it, and the horns could've been a different shape, maybe make the fur gray and the eyes red...then emphasize the wings by making it a wyvern or something, and give it a unique pose while you're at it. I'm spitballing so that's obviously not the only solution, but it could've been way more interesting is the point I'm getting at.
