#inktober2018 #day13 #roles : #bouncer I don't know why this role occured to me, but they exist, perhaps the most colorful being #gallusmag who used to cut off the ears of surly patrons and pickle them back in #thegangsofnewyork era. In present day a quick google will show you some women have been bouncing since the 80s. In pop culture... there really appears to be no #precedent though I can't imagine a woman has never been depicted tossing a man out of a bar. I've heard bad stories about #bouncers and their conduct, and I liked demitri martin's 2 step process for becoming a bouncer step 1, be an asshole, step 2, stand near a door. However, bouncer's job is to deal with #obnoxious #drunk people who are disinhibited, and it must be #rough often thankless work to deal with people at their #worst all the time. GT, for those unfamiliar. is a blog with a somewhat unfashionable stance on Gender politics, its proprietor, GallusMag choosing to frame her reportage on current affairs thru the lens of sex rather than the currently-popular language of gender identity.
