they look like they’re best friends who would follow the others to he ends of the universe (quite literally) so headcanon time

rebel squad working on the inside to try to bring down zarkon

they met as new recruits

they all had their doubts at first and didnt know who to trust but eventually confided in eachother

when they first heard about a bigger resistance of galra rebels they immediately jumped on board

secret meetings late at night which turned into bonding moments

maybe bonding moments are sacred to the galra

thace tells them he has a son somewhere

spoilers/questions for voltron season 2

ok but those rebels that freed matt from the prison in episode 10 weren’t in marmora uniforms.  and it looked like they were only after matt? there wasn’t a huge staging where they tried to free multiple prisoners, so why matt?  did they mistake him for pidge, pilot of the green lion, team member of voltron?  they couldn’t have wanted him for his brain because if they’d wanted smartness, then why didn’t they go after slav?  basically, who are these new rebels (who are obviously galra if you just look at their body structure), and why would they want to free matt? 

added: also we learned that pidge calls their lion “she” while hunk calls his lion “he” and i think that this is very cute and important
