but here's a small fic for you! it's about thace and ulaz first going into the blade of marmora! enjoy!
When Thace had joined the Blade of Matmora, he was young. The openeing held around ten different Galra, all from different backgrounds but there for one cause. The Galra was standing up, waiting for the Trials for the first Galra to start. He was nervous (for sure), but he knew he could win against the Trials.
The Galra behind him was quiet, focused. He seemed nervous as well, but who wasn’t? “Hey?” Thace smiled at the Galra behind him, so seemed to jump then smile. “Hey.”
The Galra was taller than him, with paler purple and a white (weird?) hairstyle. His yellow eyes were tinier than most, but he looked less Galra than most so that made sense. “You nervous?” He asked, relaxing a bit. Thace nodded, before chirping out his name. “My name is Thace, how about you?”
The other chuckled a bit before saying, “Ulaz. You ready for those Trials? I’m a tad nervous mainly because I know more about science then battle.” He looked around, before biting the back of his lip. “But if I heard right, we should be able to unlock the Blade with just our personalities and wills, right?” He rambled, eyes falling down.
Thace's smile softened, agreeing that he had a disadvantaged. If he knew more about science and logic, it would be harder to fight. “I guess so. I really didn’t understand that bit, hah. And you know more about science and stuff? That’s cool! I mean, if you understand that I bet you can use logic and get past the Trials easily.” He tried to calm the other.
“Yeah, I guess. It seems like the first guys been in there for a long time though, which worries me. How long does it take to awaken this Blade? How many people do I need to fight? I mean I know the basics of fighting since in the Empire they taught the scientist that- but I’m still a student. And I can’t use logic the whole time. I’ll have to fight at some point.” He rambled, before a small blush formed on his face.
“Sorry, I ramble when I get anxious.” He sighed, scratching his head.
Thace chuckled and shook his head, replying, “No problem Ulaz. Ramble all you want. It could help you with the anxiety after all.” He chirped, watching the other Galra’s smile come back onto his lips. “Thank’s.” He replied, “Not a lot of people like me rambling so- that’s nice.”
The stopped chatting for a while, where Thace was looking towards the Galra in front of him. Two Blade of Marmora agents soon came out, which made them all stiffen. They stayed quiet for a while before announcing that the first Galra had passed, and now it was time for next in line. The Galra in front of his went through the doors, and then it was no more.
“You’re next.” Ulaz muttered, tapping Thace’s shoulder. Thace nodded, biting his lip and turning towards Ulaz. “Yeah I am. I hope I’m ready.” He chuckled, shaking his head nervously. Ulaz smiled at the other, putting his clawed hand on the other to calm him down. “You’ll do fine Thace. You seem strong, I’m sure you’re great in combat.”
Thace chuckled, blushing a bit at the complainant. “What, you’ve been looking at my muscules?” He smirked, seeing the other fully-blush. “No! The suits are just very skin tight. You can practically see everything.” He grumbled, looking away.
“But you like what you see huh?” Thace chuckled, blushing lightly.
“If it makes you happy, then yes.” Ulaz snapped, the blush growing more vibratment pink. Thace bit his lip, shaking his head before saying gently, “Hey- sorry if that was a bit direct. I’m just tryin’ to- ya know- have fun? I guess? I shoudln’t though, we are about to go into the battle of our lives.” He sighed.
“Nono- you’re fine. You were just trying to be funny.” Ulaz smiled gently, the blush still on his face. “And just for clarification- you do look good.”
Now it was Thace’s turn to blush, eyes wide. “Oh- ha! I knew it.” He laughed a bit, relaxing back down. “You’re cool, you know that Ulaz? I hope we get to work together a bunch when we get past the Trials. Now I have another thing to win this thing for. To see you again!”
Ulaz’s eyes widened at the compliment, before nodding. “Yeah, same here. I’ll use all my wit and still fight my hardest.” He replied, holding out his hand. “To our victory?” He asked, tilting his head.
Thace nodded, taking it and squeezing it gently. “To our victory.”
Since we said after our first galra-week in March that there may be another one this year, we’re thinking of having a galra week after season 4 comes out (like mid October). This way, peeps can pull inspiration from both season 3 and 4 (and the past seasons) to contribute to the event. Prompts will, of course, be announced around that time, and with the new characters and dynamics we’ve seen so far, we’ll have a lot to work with then! Sounds cool?

I personally do Not trust Tumblr’s cut feature. There are times when it works, and times when it doesn’t. In the last event I participated in, I found a solution to this problem.

The first post is a preview post with an sfw description and if it’s art, maybe an sfw preview.
The second post is the full post.
The first post will include a link to the second post. The first post will be what I reblog to event.
Fics posted on AO3 or fanfiction.net (if you still use that) may not need a secondary post, so long as the fic is tagged appropriately and labelled as explicit or mature.
