Now that i'm not on mobile i can give u all the deets

it was a fungus. i broke a fungus. i know this sounds impossible, but i had gotten the cryovial of this fungus out of the -70C freezer but the cold box got slippery and i. i dropped it. and the (plastic) cryovial shattered. so yeah. i broke the fungus.

on the bright side, i had been trying to talk my manager into ordering a new vial of that strain bc the one we had was kinda not good, and now he has no choice.

also thank you!!! i am very excited to finally be a "microbiologist" instead of a "microbiology associate"

you should be. No seriously if you get the chance, do it. I mean I've got cerebral palsy and I didn't find it too taxing (bear in mind it's a half an hour walk each way too, so it wasn't too bad at all) It might get harder as I get better, though. But yeah, try it if you can, it's brilliant.

if you don't mind me asking, what is ello? ^^

ello is basically an ad-free, simple and beautiful social site created by some artists and designers. its like twitter (almost), the main differece is that if you want to join you need to be invited, either by some other users or by the official staff. (because if you want to join you need to put a code in the login page!).  right now there arent many features, you can only "tweet" (no characters limit tho!), and upload pics/link stuff. but the staff said they are gonna add more in the future, so lets wait for more!!
