I don’t remember how I initially stumbled onto it, but the first game I ever played on the client was Mystic Journey, now called Mystical Destiny. It’s a simple RPG where you create a character, pick a class, and fight monsters and player killers, all the while seeking treasure and gold and unlocking more powerful mods and weaponry. There were other games too that had similar features -- Rise Of Heroes and Battle of Evermore to name a few -- but there was also a social hangout game that I loved to play called Icon Ultima where you basically built your own bases and uploaded sprites to the server to change your appearance. There wasn’t any survival aspect to it, but I guess you could call it the first Minecraft, in a way. I remember my favorite sprites were Kagura from Inuyasha and Lulu from Final Fantasy X. All the games mentioned here are sprite-based, and if I’m correct, I believe all games listed on the site are sprite-based or 2D. Of course, RPGs aren’t the only ones there, but there are many of them, including fan-made anime-based games. I’m almost positive I played a few Dragon Ball Z games back in the day. The cool thing about BYOND is that the initial membership is free, so all you have to do is register a username and download their client. Windows and Unix-based users will have no problem, but those running Mac OS X will need to run Windows via Boot Camp. Some small FFXIV client help?

So, lately I've noticed my client is always showing the framerate at the top left.  I've noticed it before on loading screens, but I don't recall it always being there during normal game operation.  Normally it wouldn't bother me, except for one thing.

It's showing up in screenshots.  

Considering most of this blog (and a portion of my fun with this game) involves screenshots, well, that becomes sorta annoying.

So does anyone know how to get rid of this?  I've looked through the system settings and don't see anything, but I won't be surprised if I've just completely missed something.

So much I want to do!! I got my Estate (Yay), I want to finish leveling my Aethertech, help my legion grow, hell, I just want to BE ONLINE. That damnable patch last week is making me crash every 5 minutes like clockwork! I've repaired my files, re-installed the game entirely, lowered my graphics and any other possible fix I can think of! This week's patch better fix it cause I want to play on my days off!
