Hiya, lovelies! I’ve decided to host an event for my birthday: Siri’s Shameless Hoe Birthday Bash 🤭

The event will happen August 16-18, but I wanted to post info now so those of you who want to participate in the writing challenge portion have time to work on your stories. Writing challenge submissions will be accepted starting August 16 and through the end of August (or later if needed; I’m flexible and don’t want you to stress ❤️)

There are two ways to participate in my birthday bash: a writing challenge and/or submitting a game ask. You can participate in either or both, but there is a TWO game asks limit per person so I don’t get overwhelmed 😅 Also, game asks will only be accepted during the event dates noted.

Rules for Fic Entries:

500 word minimum, 5,000 word max. (Please put your story under a cut after 150 words.)

Original works only. If your story is part of a series, it must be able to be read as a standalone piece.

Please tag me @stargazingfangirl18 when posting your story.

Include the tag #happy birthday siri 2025 on the original post of your fic (not on reblogs or reblog replies, please.)

Any genre accepted! Can be fluff, angst, smut, comedy, AU, dark, soft!dark, whatever you want.

Please stick to the CE characters listed below, and no RPF.

Let’s stick with Reader insert stories. LGBTQ+, BIPOC, & interracial stories are welcome and encouraged!

No toilet stuff, no necrophilia, no snuff, or bestiality. Non-con and dub-con must fall within commonly posted dark fics. (FYI: I personally don’t read daddy kink, mommy kink, spit kink, lactation kink, big age gaps, harsh degradation, dumbification, or anything focusing on health/illnesses/medical details/scenarios.)

Hellooooooooo it's me again (aka Emerson aka the author of Burning Academia). I've been toying with this idea for a while, but I have come to realize that I really miss writing events, specifically ones that felt like they have a community. NaNoWriMo was actually a big part of my writing experience growing up (I'd been doing it since 2013), and it was a major motivator for me personally. Since it is now dead for a variety of reasons, I wanted to start something in the same vein as it that was more suited to the things I write now (ie VNs and IFs), so you know, why not try to make something in a similar vein!

Since VN/IF writing is vastly different than novel writing, I was thinking of making the goal about 25k words with a "Stretch Goal" or "Overachiever Goal" at 50k. However, I was also thinking of potentially making different goals centered around coding/art assets/etc to accommodate where people are at in their projects! This would just be a really casual/chill event to just have a personal challenge to yourself, and there's no pressure to release anything, you'd just hopefully have the community feeling of a bunch of other people attempting the same challenge as you :>

This is very much in the broad strokes stage, as I don't want to get too carried away if no one's interested in it, but I made a short interest form if you are!
