World Series roller coaster

From the start, I didn’t think the wild-card Washington Nationals had a prayer against the mighty Houston Astros in this year’s World Series.

But then the Nats won the first two games - in Houston, yet! - in the best-of-seven-games series and a championship for the Nats seemed like a genuine possibility. 

Then the Astros won the next three games - in Washington! - and the inevitable seemed inevitable again.

So, that’s where we sit today. Game Six will be played tonight - in Houston - and with Justin Verlander pitching for Houston, I fear the Astros will put it away tonight.

But a Game Seven sure would be fine.
