Nova was ready to risk it all, no matter what the consequences were. She knows what Jabari does for a living, and she doesn't care about any of that. All she knows is that she is in love with Jabari. He rejected her advances twice. Although it hurt him to reject, he just know that he's not ready right now. Hurting her is not in his bingo cards at all. He just got a few loose ends he's gotta tighten up before he wraps it up. Hopefully, he don't take too long, and Nova completely moves on.
