I gave my first blowjob to a Gamzee cosplayer while cosplaying Terezi and that permanently changed my brain chemistry for the worse. Now I'm stuck like this.

When i was 14 i was so obsessed with gamrezi and i’m so glad i couldn’t draw the way i wanted (quality-speaking) bc i would be insufferable. Sadly, i can do it now… but at least i don’t romanticise abusive relationships anymore 👍🏻
Oh my dear gamrezi,,,
There is a lot to be said about how Vriskagram is a flash intentionally constructed to present an unrealistic, "fix-it-fic"-like version of events. And usually when I do see this discussed it is about how easily Vriska stopped Rose from drinking, but another significant part of it I don't think I've ever seen talked about in a similar vein is how Vriska protects Terezi from Gamzee. Because in the original timeline, I really do not see Gamzee and Terezi's relationship as something that was at all instigated by Gamzee; it's Terezi throwing herself at Gamzee because she feels like she's a horrible person who deserves it. This does not implicate Gamzee for abusing her, but she was not entirely without agency in this situation, at the very least. And it feels really reductive to later imply that she was randomly preyed on by him, vulnerable enough to not fight back until Vriska stepped in. In the same way it feels reductive to imply that all Rose needed to stop drinking was someone to slap the cup out of her hands.
Like, really, she's just uncomfortably tolerating this until Vriska helps her? To me it feels like a parody of how people might perceive gamrezi when they don't think too hard about it, making Terezi into a simple, perfect victim of him, rather than someone who intentionally sought out something she knew was bad for her the same way she kept drinking the soda even though she said she didn't like it anymore. So I don't think a relationship with Gamzee is something Terezi would even consider in a timeline where she didn't kill Vriska, because if she didn't kill Vriska, she doesn't have enough to feel guilty over, unless what she feels guilty over is the fact that she was prepared to kill Vriska and knew she did go through with it in a different timeline. (Or she might also consider the relationship to try and keep Gamzee away from Karkat, but that is more seriously my own personal conjecture and probably deserves a different post. And in any case, post-retcon Terezi very notably thinks much less about Karkat than she used to.)
Anyway, it is pretty common parlance nowadays to say that the epilogues are Homestuck fanfic, or at least a parody of it. But did you know that Homestuck was actually a fanfic of itself far before that, and Terezi wrote it?
(shout-out to tumblr user @candychocolate for making me think about some of this)

As one of the few GamVris shippers (of the let them be fucked up together variety) out there, allow me to pitch some dynamics.
Sometimes I think about them and go a little bit insane
