I'm about to get into The Mask but I heard that it's a melodrama and it might have a love triangle which I certainly don't like can you tell me more about this show and the couple? I do love super sweet couples than you can fangirl over instead of the misunderstandings tears and fights that you sometimes get with a lot of dramas.
Hi! Well, this drama is about doppelgangers. The rich doppelganger dies, so her lover (the second male protagonist) asks the main female protagonist to pose as her while he tries to find a way to get the business owned by the father of his wife (2nd female protagonist) and brother in law (the main male protagonist). The doppelganger comes from a humble family and the 2nd male lead threatens her, so she accepts to protect her parents. She ends up marrying the main lead because that was the agreement his father made with the family of the dead (rich) doppelganger. They start living as husband and wife but he is a bit weird and doesn’t want her in his space, so he treats her a bit poorly at the beginning, while she tries to give him space but also stand up for herself. They have a lot of cute and sad moments together. Like I said, at first the male lead is cold because it’s a marriage of convenience, but then he realizes that he likes his wife and starts treating her like a proper husband would do and falls for her and she falls for him - but she still keeps her real identity a secret until half of the drama, so there’s this added dramatic phase as well where the main lead feels his trust betrayed. All of this while the main female lead is threatened by the 2nd male lead to accomplish his plan to steal his bro in law’s business. Between them it never happens anything, although they have chemistry, because the 2nd male lead was in love with her dead doppelganger and not her. The main couple stays faithful until the end I loved their moments. It has a lot of classic melodrama moments but has a nice ending where the bad guys get punished and the main couple lives happily ever after. It’s surely a drama I would rewatch because it has a few lows and it keeps you interested ep. after ep., since every ep makes you wonder and keeps you intrigued.
