Her would-be father-in-law, however, just found out he's having another son.

And with the most trance-inducing choice of dance and music he offers her not only the chance to get off the hook for the wedding, but a free G5 airplane. (It's Dwemer technology, shut up). And bitches.

I like to think that daddy Ganmen Thallery is so important all the way in Summerset that he has no clue who the Stormcloaks are. Ulfric captures Caryalind and sends a ransom note and Ganmen is like "Who is this, some sort of pirate?"
