A Strange Arrangement || Ally and Bruín
Ally made his camp in a clearing surrounded by rocks so the smoke would carry but a little and the glow of his fire was only visible to to those travelling within a few hundred yards of him, and no one else. A Kiak'khazi of the Shimar is unnoticed till he wills it otherwise but as he had recently leaned a camp-fire is easily noticed by all.
After being assaulted by bandits near Dunland he wasn't going to lapse on his security, especially in Rohan where he had experienced some malcontent. Edoras wouldn't be the safest place to go since his being robbed there, but he had changed the colour of his clothes and hopefully the Sheriff wouldn't care what colour his cloth was if he came to the gates with a bag of tongues and was covered head to toe in Orc blood.
He sat and used the glow of the fire to examine the small gemstone he had claimed from the highwaymen and admired it's red shade. After pocketing it he took his spoon and stirred the reaming stew he made yesterday, and was lucky to have pouched it and brewed his poison before those bandits turned up, before cutting striped of his cured beef into the pot for flavour. The smell was heavily, almost good enough to be shared but Ally, to night at least, was not expecting company.
