This past weekend, I attended the Gluten Free Allergen-Friendly Expo as a GFAF Expo Blogger. This was my second year blogging for the expo & this year didn’t disappoint. There were so many people as well as vendors at the expo. There were even a couple restaurants at the expo which was surprising (this didn’t happen last year), but I liked it a lot. I had such a great experience at the expo! I’d like to thank everyone at the Gluten Free Allergen-Friendly Expo as well as the people at Massel for being the blogger sponsor and providing us bloggers with a swag box that was filled with some awesome goodies.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with Massel, Massel is a company that makes bouillon cubes, seasoning granules, concentrated liquid stock, and gravy mix that are not only gluten-free but are vegan and do not contain ANY animal content. Yes, you read it right! Their products are solely made from natural, vegetable ingredients. When I tasted the different stock flavors at the expo, I was totally convinced that the chicken & beef stocks were made from meat. The stocks tasted really good & tasted like meat. I’m so happy I found out about this company & I definitely recommend trying their products out.
Below are some photos from the expo:
The first booth I visited was the Garden Lites booth. I didn’t know about this company until the expo, but now I’m obsessed with them. They had some samples of their Cheddar Broccoli Bake, Ninja Power Muffins, and Chocolate Muffins (I only tasted the Ninja Power Muffins & the Chocolate Muffins). My favorite item at their booth was hands down the Ninja Power Muffins. I loved it so much. It felt so fluffy in your mouth and the fact that vegetables are the first ingredients in their products is just simply amazing. I didn’t even know there was zucchini as well as spinach in the muffins (everyone who knows me knows how much I hate spinach with a passion). Garden Lites’ products are a good way to sneak veggies in the lives of people who are completely anti-veggie. I definitely want to try more of their products.
Speaking of obsession, another company I became obsessed with at the expo was Bhakti Chai. Like Garden Lites, I had never heard of the company until the expo. You guys know me & my chai obsession so naturally I went over to that booth and I’m so happy that I did. Their chai drinks were absolutely amazing! There was a spiciness to the drinks because of the ginger & spices in it, but I really liked the spiciness! I tried the Bhakti Chai Original (it’s made with soymilk), Bhakti Chai Coffee Blend, and the Bhakti Chai Almond Blend (made with almond milk). My favorite drinks were the original and the almond blend. I need to get my hands on these chai drinks like.....now!
I’m not going to go to in-detail about the products I loved from the expo just because I’m going to be doing another GFAF Favorites Haul so stay tuned for that! That’s a little peek into my time at the expo and I’m so happy that I was able to go. See you next year Gluten Free Allergen-Friendly Expo!
