I love some good angst for the character™ but i "good dad Thranduil" will forever be my number one favourite headcanon for their family relationship

He can be the worst king alright, but a bad father? Never

He got news of Legolas leaving as part of the fellowship for the most dangerous quest of the third age from Elrond and had a heart attack, change my mind

(i could have done this in like two days but i decided to spend 5 to 15 min every 4 days on it instead<3)
