I'm not sure how much anybody cares about wips but it kind of helps me to keep going with things till I finish so there you go.Trying to advance this little by little during breaks from inking. These are not really the definitive colours but I'm trying to stablish some basic tones :)

Cardassian autumn is not that harsh as winter is, but it is dry and windy, with lots of sand from the desert and dry leaves.

Honestly, I think Parmak feels so triumphant when he makes Garak flustered with love and affection. This powerful man who was part of a giant secret organization that murdered and destroyed others; who destroyed Parmak himself with the most simple of tricks by just staring at him with those big blue eyes; now this guy is his lover, his husband, under his care and is so alone without him, it’s a bit of a power trip. That Garak is actually so romantic and caring and it comes back to him after all his chains are broken, and that just being himself (Kelas Parmak) makes Garak feel what he has always craved and never given to the point that Garak probably has to look away from Parmak, unsure of himself and what to do with these beautiful emotions. I think Parmak may find it as what they both deserve: love and true support now given, and triumph in never backing down and someone to give and be given love in return. It’s not in a “haha I’ve won and now you’re the one being hurt” triumph, but “I knew I was correct and now you know too and all the sweet rewards of what it’s become is ours to enjoy together.”

Does anyone have any headcannons or fic recs about the first time Garak meets Parmak on post-war Cardassia? Or maybe it's in ASIT and I just need to read it again...

so i have this headcanon that garak and parmak actually met when they were much younger and garak became sort of fascinated with him and that's why tain ended up making him interrogate parmak specifically, but whatever -

the point is whenever i see this meme all i can think about is young parmak tripping on research chemicals in the club and yelling in garak's general direction and garak's like oh my god, i love him

Some in progress pics! I have been playing around with the colouring and I have a better idea now of how I want it to look. It's still not really there, I just started the flats but it is in my mind and I do like the gradient and how it makes this transition from the night sky outside towards the warmth that the characters must be feeling :) Maybe now it looks a bit like something is in fire which I should probably fix 😂

I do want the two parts of the sky to have a contrast between them but maybe not as much as before, I do have some idea of how to do it, we'll see.

Garak's outfit is not gonna look all blue like now, but I needed the contrast between hsi outfit and Parmak's outfit. He'll have some of Kelas tonalities in his shirt I think, in a subtle way.

Hopefully next time I post it will be the finished version, things are really busy but I managed to steal some minutes here and there. It's also the first drawing I've ever used CSP for colouring so I'm figuring things out as I go. It's so much fun though.
