I'm a bit embarrassed of how slow I'm being with this but I genuinely don't have much time between comic pages and some commission! I sitll keep going at it when I can...I have actually been redoing all the coloring because I was just trying to find some brushes that I felt comfortable with (and finally found them >.<). I love Garak and Kelas so much, I really want it look good. And I'm getting closer to finishing it. I want to do some detail in the windows too. And Garak's clothes becausae of course. Also I've had to draw a bunch of explosions lately and that really made me think about Garak blowing up his own shop lol.

It's been crazy busy and I haven't had any time to finish my Garak/Parmak fanart -_- so at least I'll post this old sketch that I don't think I'm really gonna finish anymore, but I did get some ideas from it. . .

Some in progress pics! I have been playing around with the colouring and I have a better idea now of how I want it to look. It's still not really there, I just started the flats but it is in my mind and I do like the gradient and how it makes this transition from the night sky outside towards the warmth that the characters must be feeling :) Maybe now it looks a bit like something is in fire which I should probably fix 😂

I do want the two parts of the sky to have a contrast between them but maybe not as much as before, I do have some idea of how to do it, we'll see.

Garak's outfit is not gonna look all blue like now, but I needed the contrast between hsi outfit and Parmak's outfit. He'll have some of Kelas tonalities in his shirt I think, in a subtle way.

Hopefully next time I post it will be the finished version, things are really busy but I managed to steal some minutes here and there. It's also the first drawing I've ever used CSP for colouring so I'm figuring things out as I go. It's so much fun though.

I'm not sure how much anybody cares about wips but it kind of helps me to keep going with things till I finish so there you go.Trying to advance this little by little during breaks from inking. These are not really the definitive colours but I'm trying to stablish some basic tones :)

Turns out painting loosely is a pefect activity in between inking comic pages to reset my brain, it's like it tickles exactly the opposite parts or something. So I ended up working on this a tiny bit more during breaks >.<

Posting this quite literally to stop myself from working on it, since it's supposed to be a speed painting that I did to relax in between other things I actually need to do. Trying to not look at it too closely lol.

Just Garak being Garak. Quick redraw from a silly scene I really enjoy. I had drawn it a while ago and I kind of forgot.

In the middle of a deadline and working on CSP all day, drawing Parmak's long hair with pencil and paper has been the most relaxing thing ever. I'm not sure how Parmak looks like but I've seen the consnsus and how people draw him and I really like it.

This is a WIP of Garak and Kelas Parmak in France, inspired by the stories that the amazing @unamccormack has been posting lately and that have me in a bit of a grip.

Very slowly but surely working on a ASIT inspired piece. I need something to help me process all my thoughts and feelings about this beautiful book and more beautiful protagonist.

(Besides obviously Garak, also featuring Mila the regnar, the oralian recitation mask, edosian orchids and a little Doctor Bashir there somewhere 🤭)

The idea is to finish this traditionally, probably pencil colours, maybe I'll take a shot with watercolours again.

I ended up doing some little colouring on the other day's sketch (as much colour as the thin paper allowed 😅).

I really think Julian, while being totally unaware, was saving Garak's sanity and probably his life with their weekly lunches in DS9.

Speed little redraw of a scene that I find really sad and beautiful. I also remember that I was stricken by the beauty of the composition and the symbolic aspect of having Odo just as a reflection on the mirror, with Garak adressing him without looking at him, after everything that they just went through...

Really rough quick sketch of a plain and simple tailor. I have been listening (and I'm listening for the second time) to A Stitch in TIme by Andrew Robinson and I thought I already loved Garak but this book has made me adore him.

I don't know when I'm gonna have the time but I really want to finish this drawing properly in watercolour and I think I'll need to write about a Stitch in Time at some point or I'm gonna explode. What a wonderful book, I wasn't expecting it to be as good.

Also apparently it's Andrew Robinson's birthday today?? Happy birthday to this amazing actor and writer 💞

It had been a while that I hadn't been able to post here! I haven't had much time for fanart lately. But I could finally finish a little belated birthday drawing for @weakformemo yesterday ❤️❤️I was quite happy about how it turned out! What if the alternate ending was the actual reality and human Nandor was dreaming about his life with a certain familiar/bodyguard/sidekick/beloved life partner 🥰

Not fanart clearly, just a random drawing that I liked enough and it was really fun to draw! I'm just doing lots of inking these days and doing this during breaks was very relaxing...I used some reference and drew directly with ballpen. I'm not gonna do anything else with it right now because I can see everything that is wrong with it, but it has given me some ideas ^_^
