Cloqwork kids! Featuring my ocs Maylea and Garnet and our boy Oscar!
I'm gonna be posting some old-ish art that I had been plan to post a lot sooner. So be prepared
(Trying to post this again because it didn't work last time.)
Quality sucks but I drew @shana340artblog 's character Jackdaw and some Garnet. Sorry if the quality is shit. Just really like Jackdaw.
Just took in some Cloqwork content so now it's time for the Cloqwork kids!!!!
Yup, we're doing this
I swear I'm working on other stuff, I promise.
Just let me have this!
Right, so:
I talked a lot about my Cloqwork kids in my other blog (which I should also work on.)
But I'll talk about it here
So, I have two original kids and one that *spoilers* is Oscar
Qrow and Ozpin are married and Ozpin lives.
They have three kids who were all adopted.
Two were adopted as babies
Oscar is the oldest and the only boy.
He's just about the same- he's a total sweetheart who isn't too afraid to step out of his comfort zone and fight monsters to protect people
He was adopted after his parents died and Qrow and Ozpin showered him with love and still do.
He's not sure if he wants to be a huntsmen, but that's not his top priority.
He gets along great with his sisters.
His semblance is TBD because I'm not sure if CRWBY is going to announce or confirm if he has a semblance of his own or not.
His weapon is also TBD but I'm thinking Ozpin keeps around a spare cane for him to use?
Like Ozpin, all of the kids have a sweet tooth and that drives Qrow crazy
Oscar's is more subtle
His favorite food is black forest cake
He has a stuffed otter plush hidden in his room
Next up is Maylea.
Maylea was adopted as a baby after being left at their house in the rain
She is the middle child and a year younger than Oscar
She's chaotic and has a thousand ideas for a thousand things
She doesn't have any allusion to a fairytale yet but I'm thinking on it
She's quite feminine and prefers dresses and skirts
She likes to makeover her brother, parents, and younger branwen sibling whenever she can
Her semblance is plant manipulation.
She can make plants grow and grow them as big as she wants
Her weapon is TBD
Her favorite food is marshmallows
She has the biggest sweet tooth of all
She also bears a striking resemblance to Ozpin.
Lastly, Garnet
Garnet was technically adopted when she was seven
She is also a character in my Team Hell series so I'm going to try and avoid future spoilers
Her story is that she was left for dead in the forest surrounding Mountain Glenn when she was three.
A group of ursai attacked her and nearly killed her but a certain doctor saved her with the power of unlawful experimentation and SCIENCE!
And she becomes a mini Salem (in appearance at least)
And a little in powers but those and her weapon are TBA
I have to show some restraint
Anywho, she spent a while in a lab with technology from Atlas and one day, Ozpin was like, 'hey, I'm adopting you. Let's get set up your room and I'll make you cookies.'
Needless to say, it was an interesting dinner that night.
Oscar is two years older than her while Maylea is a year older.
She is quite timid and scared of her surroundings.
She is based on Tarzan
So she is a bit put off by everyone and everything around her.
Also she has amnesia
So that plays a part as well.
She doesn't call Ozpin or Qrow 'Dad' or 'papa' very often.
Not because she doesn't love them or anything
She is just very self conscious and doesn't see herself as part of the family because she's not human
she's in between on the sweet tooth scale
Her semblance is TBA and so is her weapon
Her favorite food is anything chocolate and chicken
That's it for them
Next is fair game
Be prepared
Ozqrow Week Day 7! Free Day!!
(A/N: I've done it! Whehter it be early or late! I've completed @ozqrowweek ! My first ship week! Holy shit I am tired!)
Prompt: Free day!
Ship: Married Ozqrow
Synopsis: The Xio Long Roses and the Branwen-Pines go to the beach, but the youngest, Garnet, is a bit hesitant of trying to have fun. Her dads help her out.
-------
It was a rare occasion that the Branwen/Pine and the Xio Long Rose family to get together and go out somewhere all together. It had also been awhile since they had been to the beach, so when Tai proposed the idea of going to the beach over the weekend, they agreed.
The kids were ecstatic to finally spend time away from home. Well, everyone except the youngest of the Branwen-Pine's; Garnet.
Qrow had found Garnet in the rubble of Mountain Glenn, in what used to be Merlot's lab. She was an experiment who had lost her memory during said collapse. They kept her in a clinic filled with the latest Atlas tech, and almost a year later, Ozpin adopted her into their family-without informing Qrow or the others. That night's dinner was...very eventful, to say the least.
Of course, because she was basically half girl, half grimm or a grimm humanoid type thing-she couldn't really go outside and interact with others, so she was rightfully anxious about going to a place where people were known to gather. Even with the reassurance of Taiyang and her fathers saying that this was a secluded beach, she was still too anxious, but relented at the pleading of her older sister.
And now, they were on a little secluded beach, Qrow and Taiyang going head to head in a volleyball match with Ruby, Yang, Oscar, and Maylea. Ozpin sat and watched from afar as Garnet hid behind a beach chair, listening to Zwei's snoring. Ozpin watched as his husband spiked the ball high into the air as Tai dove for it, hitting it back over the net.
"I got it!" Maylea shouted, hitting hard over the net, hitting Yang in the face. Yang frowned as she grabbed the ball and spiked it in right towards her, her blonde hair a fiery glow.
Maylea nearly missed the horrible attack as the volleyball hit the ground and hit it hard.
"Woah, woah! Let's calm down a bit, Firecracker, " Qrow said.
"That's what cowards say! Face me like a man, Uncle Qrow!" She yelled.
Ozpin couldn't help but laugh. "I wonder where she got that from."
Qrow picked the ball up and held it out. "Alright, Tai. If I win, you watch my kids for a whole weekend."
"And if I win, you watch my kids for a whole week!"
"That's not how this works."
"That's exactly how this works."
"It's-"
"Will you just hurry up?!" Maylea exclaimed.
Ozpin chuckled a bit. They defiantly needed to check Maylea's attitude, but at least she was having fun. Not so much for Garnet.
He glanced to the side to see the little Grimm girl, still under the beach chair and peaking through the little holes. She had covered herself head to toe in layers.
"Garnet, love," he said, turning to face her, "why don't you go play with your siblings and cousins?"
The 7-year-old shook her head. "No, that's okay. I'm fine watching the rat."
"Garnet, Zwei is a dog. Not a rat."
She shrugged. She was never able to grasp the idea of different life forms such as dogs and cats. "When can I go home?"
"Not for a while, dear..."
Garnet peaked out from behind the beach chair. "Why did you even bring me here? I'm not even supposed to be out in public."
Ozpin frowned as he stood up and walked over to Garnet, crouching to the young girl's height. "Garnet, I know you're scared, but I don't want you to miss out on life just because you're different. I want you to experience life in all of its glory-see the magic."
"I thought there was no magic."
"Hypothetically, dear. What I mean to say is, I want you to see the world for what it truly is."
Garnet shuffled back into the shadow of the chair, not saying a word. Ozpin sighed, feeling a hand on his shoulder.
"Hey, what's up?" His husband asked, pressing a kiss to his cheek.
"It seems our little Garnet is still hesitant about being here."
Qrow nodded. He leaned down and took a look under the chair. "GG-"
"If you're not gonna take me home, don't bother."
"G, c'mon. At least come out with me to see the ocean, huh? How bout that?" He wagered.
Garnet thought for a minute before she crawled from under the chair and into Qrow's arms. He picked her up and carried her to the shore line, trying to carefully remove her giant floppy hat from her head, but she quickly pulled it back down.
"No."
"Nettie, it's hot. You're probably burning up."
"I don't want anyone to see me."
"No one is here. And if anybody tries to lay their hands on you, I'll kick their ass."
Garnet made a small noise of uncertainty before she removed the sunglasses from her face and the hat from her head. She squinted as her red and black eyes tried to adjust to the bright light.
"Ow..." She mumbled.
"You don't gotta look...just listen."
Garnet nodded, rubbing her eyes as she listened intently. They stood there for a while, taking everything in.
"....Water, " the youngest sibling said, "Water. It sounds..nice. I can hear something out there."
"What else?"
She sniffed the air. "Fresh but salty. I don't like the salt smell. I can smell something.. sweet?"
"You sure?"
She nodded. "It's the others...they're happy and all of their smells are mixing together. It's...kinda gross."
Qrow chuckled. Garnet lifted her head, her eyes widening in surprise. Now she could see the true beauty that was right in front of her. All of the brilliant colors, the vastness of the ocean. She couldn't believe it. "Wow..." She breathed.
"You like it?" He asked.
She nodded, but she was frowning. "...I'm sorry."
"For what?"
"For being mean. For not thanking you for bringing me here even though you were really happy about this."
Qrow shook his head. "G, it's okay. You were scared. And I get it. I was a little scared too."
"You were?"
Qrow nodded. "I mean, yeah. You're my kid. I already hate leaving you alone in the house for hours, but bringing you outside-like really outside-that scared me."
"Why?"
"Because you didn't know. You didn't know what the beach was, you didn't know what it was gonna be like. I was afraid you would wander off on your own."
"Qrow, do you know me at all? I'm not stupid."
Qrow laughed. "Yeah, yeah. I know. Just didn't want your first beach trip to be a bust."
"We still have a lot of time left, " Garnet replied, hoping out of Qrow's arms, "I wanna try swimming."
Qrow raised his eyebrows. "What?"
"Swimming. I want to learn to swim. Maylea! I need to borrow your floaty!"
Qrow was still trying to take in everything his daughter just said as she walked over to the others. Did she just say that she wanted to swim? Garnet?
"What's going on?" Ozpin asked.
"She's going to swim."
"Who? Maylea?"
"No, Nettie."
Ozpin's mouth flew open. "What? Garnet?"
"I can't believe it either."
"Should...should we do something?" He asked.
"I dunno. She's...never really been like this."
"Is that a bad thing?"
Qrow opened his mouth to speak, until he saw Garnet with the others. She was smiling as they were all trying to give her advice on how to swim.
She was smiling so big. She was so causal, so relaxed. Like any anxieties that she had were never there in the first place.
"It's...actually a really good thing. Yeah, really good." He said, looking to Ozpin and smiling.
Ozpin breathed a sigh of relief, leaning against Qrow's shoulder. "That's good. That's...good."
Qrow chuckled, pressing a kiss to the top of his husband's head. Fatherhood, anxious husbands, lots of kids, new things, first things-this was his life now.
This was his life, and he was gonna live it for as long as he could.
The Fair Game babies + Cloqwork kids
Yes! I have finally hopped on the bandwagon and made my own fair game babies along with some Cloqwork kids that I mentioned in my last fic. But first we'll start with what most of you are all here for since there are not a lot to people that ship Cloqwork. At least, from what I've seen.
The Fair Game twins:
Boy and girl twins Briar Rose and Reed Branwen are both very outdoorsy kids (and yes I am aware that the photo is side ways) they love to explore and ran outside. They are both active, but it varies with the kids.
Briar Rose Branwen- Age: 10
Briar is the younger twin and mostly takes after her papa Qrow. She's a bit more sensitive and hesitant about things. She's more of an ambivert(I totally spelled that wrong.), so she does like going out and make friends but she can only do it for so long. She likes to stay close to her brother or fathers whenever they are out somewhere because she just likes that feeling of security and closeness. She clings onto Qrow the most since he's the one with the big sword/scythe and not a fishing hook thing(that's just her opinion: big knives are better.) She's just a little girl that likes to be close with her family, especially her twin.
Reed Branwen-Age: 10
Reed is the oldest twin and the big extrovert. He has a million bumps and bruises he doesn't even know how he got, but in most cases, it was jumping around in the woods. He's a fast runner and best tree climber in the family. He is a bright ball of lettuce that likes to wrestle and voice his opinion no matter how controversial. He loves to rough house with his cousin Yang and kick his cousin Ruby's butt in video games, but his favorite person to hang out with is his sister. These two have been attached at the hip since birth, almost never leaving each other's side. He is her fighting bubby and he will never allow her to be hurt.
Cloqwork kids:
[Rooster teeth concept art of Oscar. It's not mine.]
Oscar Pine-Age: 14-16(?) Right? I think so.
Of course I would put Oscar in here. He deserves love and affection! He is the big brother and all the same qualities. He's smart, caring, and just an overall cinnamon roll. He's their baby boy, and Ozpin and Qrow love to remind him of that-even if it embarrassing him in front of a lot of people. He is a good big brother to his sisters and has good patience with them-even if Maylea drives him crazy.
Maylea Pine/Branwen-Age: 14
Maylea is the second child and she is probably the strongest out of the 3. In a physical sense, at least. She's a big ball of sunshine that is super active and a huge chatterbox. She will not shut up. She wears her heart on her sleeve and is an absolute sweetheart. She tries to make friends everyone, but she's a bit too forward when she tries. She always needs someone to reign her in when she gets too close into other people's personal business.
Garnet Pine/Branwen- Age: 13 (spoilers for my (hopefully) upcoming series: Team HELL)
Garnet was found by Ozpin and Ironwood after 'the incident' at Mountain Glenn. She was 7 at the time. At first, they assumed she was one of the people who happened to fall victim to Salem's powers (spoilers: she never was.) For a year, they housed her in a clinic which was full of Atlas tech. Garnet never liked being there, and she was uncomfortable around everyone. Ozpin was the first to try to make a connection with her, since she was so scared of everything and everyone. It took about a month before she started breaking out of her shell. He then adopted her into the family without informing Qrow, but he was fine with it. She tends to isolate herself from everyone, and has issues with how she looks. She second guesses herself worth and whether or not her family actually wanted her around-which is why she often refers to Ozpin and Qrow by their really names rather than "dad". She loves her family, but she always doubts they love her back. She has very sharp canines and doesn't currently display any kind of unique abilities. She also likes to sleep on the sun or warm spots.
And that's it so far. Hopefully I can display these characters better in my writings. Hope you all enjoyed and I will see you later.
Not A Monster: A Cloqwork family sequel
(This is a continuation of my first Cloqwork family fic, Fear.)
Fandom: RWBY
Ship: Cloqwork/ Ozpin x Qrow
Summary: After overhearing Ozpin's nightmare, Garnet attempts to prove she will not fall to evil. But instead, she falls out of the bathtub, and they decided to finally tell her about Salem.
Warning(s): Injury, serious talks, mentioning of death
---------
Garnet had never meant to listen in on the conversation between Ozpin and Qrow. She really didn't. She heard Qrow from outside-he was complaining really loud. She wanted to welcome him back, spend two minutes to hear what he did-She didn't mean to hear them talk about the nightmare. The nightmare where a woman named Salem killed her family and friends. The nightmare where she killed Ozpin in cold blood. She didn't mean to hear her father tremble at the thought.
She left alone that night. The next day, however, the thought remained. It choked her, it made her think that they were expecting her to change into a monster. She certainly did fit the bill of a monster.
Her skin was abnormally pale and was becoming riddled with dark veins. Her eyes were a dark red and the whites were completely pitch black, and she still hadn't gotten a good grasp on what powers she had-and didn't tell them about.
Maybe she should have done that earlier. But then they would have reported it to Ironwood. She would have been taken back to that clinic. They would experiment on her for sure. She couldn't let that happen.
She didn't want to kill her family. She had to prove that.
---------
That morning while Oscar and Maylea were at school and Ozpin and Qrow were gone, she filled the bathtub up to the brim with water.
She kicked off her shoes, hoisting herself in. She had done this a few times before, ever since the trip to the beach when she was 7. She just...had to concentrate.
Think about the beach...think about the beach....
She placed her feet in the water, pushing herself up, and before she knew it, she was standing on water. Her eyes fluttered open and looked down. A rush of excitement flooded through her. It worked!
But something was different. Where she was, where she was standing, it was black. Wherever her feet touched, the water was black.
Garnet moved around, the water feeling like a bounce house. Where was this black stuff coming from? Or was it just her, seeing things?
No, it couldn't have been fake. It was following her. It kept following. It had to be real. Right?
She had gotten so lost in her thoughts, she didn't hear the front door open and two sets of footsteps wandering the house.
"Did you find it yet?"
"No."
"Maybe one of the kids took it by accident."
"I'll ask Garnet. GARNET!"
The mention of her name broke her concentration and she fell through the water and banged her head hard against the tub. "GAH!"
Hurried footsteps came up the stairs and flung open the door. Qrow rushed in and Ozpin followed behind. "GARNET!"
Garnet lifted her head, her vision blurred. She felt Qrow pull her out and lean her against his chest. "She's bleeding."
"N-no, I'm fi-"
Qrow moved his hand in front of her face. It was completely covered in dark red blood. "This is not fine. Here, can you stand?"
Garnet nodded, standing up as she was led by Ozpin downstairs to the kitchen. He sat her down as Qrow whipped out the first aid kit and got to work.
"Garnet, what were you doing up there? How did this happen?"
Garnet's eyes fell to the floor. "I just...slipped."
"So you're trying to tell us that you just decided to jump in the bathtub with all of your clothes on and you slipped?" Qrow questioned.
"I was bored..." She mumbled.
"Garnet. We need the truth. Now."
"Well, so do I." She said, staring up at Ozpin, "do you think I'm going to kill you?"
Ozpin took a step back, clear thrown off by the question. "What?"
"I heard you the other night...you were talking....you said...you saw me, and I killed you," she stood up, getting closer to him, "who is Salem? Does she something from me?"
The two men exchanged a worried glance before Ozpin knelt down to Garnet's height, taking her hands in his. "I guess you are old enough to know the truth."
"Oz, you don't-"
He waved him off. "She deserves to know. They all do....Garnet...There is something that I have told very few people about...It's...something about me." He sighed, staring directly into her big scarlet eyes, "it is going to sound more than a bit far fetched but...I share my soul with another man's soul. He inhabits my body and occasionally takes...control of my body."
Garnet looked down at her feet and then back at him-her mentor, her caretaker-a man who was practically her father and called as such, was not...not entirely her father.
"So...You're not...Ozpin? You're-"
"I am. I am, right now. The man that has been raising you and taking care of you, and loving you-it's all me. My soul is just...merged with someone else's."
She nodded, although she didn't totally understand what he was trying to say. "Okay...but what does that have to do with this Salem lady?"
Ozpin gripped on her shoulders. "The man whom I've been sharing my soul with...he knew Salem. She is....a powerful being that has been alive for many millenia and she-"
"Is exactly like me?"
Ozpin shook his head. "No..she is nothing like you. She is...an evil, manipulative woman who has a following of people. People who are willing to hurt and kill-all for her. They are stronger than us. Stronger than me. I wasn't afraid of you becoming a monster...I was afraid of losing you to her. I was afraid that she would take you from me and warp your mind. I..."
Ozpin shut his eyes, his head bowed. Qrow knelt beside him, resting his hand on his shoulder. "What he means kid, is that she is a lot more powerful than your old man and I. She's been alive longer than you or I have been. She knows what to do, what buttons to press. Your pops and I would lose it if she did somethin to you and the others....we love you, Garnet. No matter what happens, we're gonna love you and we're gonna protect you the best we can."
Garnet's eyes fell to the ground, fidgeting with her fingers. Her heart swelled, this odd feeling swirling around in her. 'what is this...? Is this guilt? Guilt? Guilt because I'm hurting the people I care about? People I love? The people....I've been lying to....?'
"I....I love you too, dad...dads...I..." She took a deep breath, "I need to tell you something...I've been hiding things from you..."
Ozpin looked up at her, the grip on his hands tightening. "What is it?"
'are you sure about this?'
Garnet nodded to her own question. "I...I think I'm start-no, I have been starting to develop some form of semblance or...power. For a long time."

To be continued.
