Oh my fuck this is the longest I’ve ever spent on a drawing. Now enjoy some behind the scenes.

Originally this was going to include Ozma but it didn’t work out and looked much better composition wise with just the two.

I made a shit ton of revisions during this, most especialy with Ozpin’s hair. A lot of general details here and there with Oscar were also changed.

Overall it took around 4 days to finish this. One for the sketch, one for lineart, one for colouring and rendering, and the last for final touch ups.

There are actually a ton of details I put in on purpose for this piece! Most obviously are the allusions to rosegarden and cloqwork, but less obvious are specifically how Oscar’s and Ozpin’s eyes are drawn in completely different styles. This is because Oscar’s still alive and of course would have a lot more life in his eyes, along with functional tear glands and all that.

My favourite detail is their hair.

Ozpin’s ends in one focal point with 3 extra strands all disconnected. Meanwhile, Oscar’s is split and has 2 extra strands that are connected. You can figure out what I’m saying with that, I’m sure.
