Don’t mind mee I just had a thought about Garrett lol

So this popped up in my head lately. Gare has his baby(don’t ask how he had the baby we’ll just say it’s a hypothetical baby which may take me into my next ask wink wink) taken from him by some mysterious higher force and he turns into this terrifying creature that rips through them all and gets his baby back.

All this to ask, do you think Gare could have an alternate form for when he’s pushed to his limit? If so and even if not, what do you think it’d be? What’d he look like? Most importantly, would Aro be more or less into him? He is into pretty dark stuff so I’d say he would but what do you think?

now, this is massive AU territory, it is absolutely plausible that he could have a more bestial form. Again, this is not treading, but wading into the AU category of fic writing.

Which I don't mind, because I enjoy taking characters out of their canon and lobbing them into situations they just were not created for. It's a thrill, the characters are my dolls and the AU is my barbie dream house.

The details of how Garrett acquires a baby are not important, for now at least, but Garrett is a loyal person. Well, as far as we know, we don't get all that much info about him in the books or movies, yet once he has his people they are his people for life, I assume.

Anyway, let's fuck canon off, as long as we have some base characteristics (which is kind of all we have of him from the media he is portrayed in) we're good.

For me, Garrett never came across as much of vampire man, this is due to being indoctrinated into the faith of Anne Rice at 13 accidentally in a library while skipping school. For me, Garrett is very obviously a werewolf man, other might disagree, that's fine.

Bestial form Garrett is, for me, just a huge werewolf lusting for revenge over who decided it was a stellar idea to steal his child. You know, massive paws, claws attached, fangs that would have your insides curl up and die, unless you think it's hot then your insides might turn to goo - either way they cause a reaction.

I feel as though in a bestial form he is absolutely NOT open to any sort of reasoning. There's no calming a beast in hunt, kill and protect mode, and likely doesn't make any decisions with a sound mind.

You know when characters get so angry you think they will explode and all the rage inside them comes out in a roar that could shake the earth and they are more beast than man, that is Garrett's beast/higher form. Probably difficult to control himself because it's a form based purely on extreme emotions.

He will not sit down and have a cup of tea and a biscuit and repeat affirmations until he is on an even keel again.

Your door is ripped off its hinges and he is putting paws to the ground at a speed that would shame a race horse.

CANON, however, I don't know. The only form I can really speak of that would be higher than a vampire is from a manga/animation called Trinity Blood. They're called krusniks and they feed off the blood of other vampires. Appearance wise, they absolutely fuck like the Volturi would snap up every krusnik they could find on the planet and have a super army with them if they existed in the Twilight universe.

When it comes to canon, as with any character not just Garrett, when they are presented with very few details it is a thin line between canon and AU/headcanon and that line can blur easily even if canon compliant work.

On to Aro, yeah, of course he would find the cruelly cold and vicious beast form of Garrett attractive, there is a power there that he can utilize. In most of my AUs Aro craves power and will do anything it takes to achieve it, even use those he claims to love. He'd collar him and have him as a personal guard dog before anything else.

Yeah, I have given Aro a softer side in some of them but it isn't as fun as Aro the power hungry cunt, ya know?

anyway this has gotten long and I rambled off topic for most of it, sorry. I just haven't written much in the way of Garro lately and I have really missed just discussing them in general.
