Gather the Daughters from @tinderpressbooks is just AMAZING and I have one million thoughts about it in my head. It is also very disturbing and unsettling. I am still in a book hangover because as much as I loved the fast pace of the book, the shocking realities of the island gross me out and scare me so much. It seems so much like a reality in a dystopian future. - - I still don’t know how I feel about the book. I feel disgusted. My mind mulls over ‘what if’ when I think about the book. I feel a kind of deep anguish for the characters because they seemed so real and yet their stories didn’t go in the way I had in mind. I feel angry at the author for making the book seem so realistic and I am also in awe of how wonderfully this debut is written. - - I would recommend this book if you think you have the guts to stomach it. I need to let my myriad thoughts settle down before I pen down a review. I guarantee that this is a book that is so difficult to put down. - Have you ever felt like that?
