Heyo folks, here's our final 1440p60 video! In this one, Jesus R Gonzalez and me are playing the 2014 version of Gauntlet by Arrowhead Game Studios and WB Games.
Starting tomorrow, all of our future videos on the channel will be in 4K60, which is something that I'd been planning for quite some time. I was finally able to upgrade my GPU so, 4K60 video is finally upon us!
In the video I'm playing as the elf who shoots all the food and Richard is the Valkyrie.
This was my favorite stream so far. This was too damn fun!
Gauntlet 2014 is my new favorite thing.
I actually tried out Gauntlet 2014's Unfair difficulty setting. It's aptly named, anyway. It doesn't seem much harder at first but there's way more enemies and they hem you in relentlessly. Also, all of the food is turned into gold, so no healing.
The new Gauntlet is pretty good! Fun hack-n-slash gameplay mixed with nods to the original games and a few tongue-in-cheek bits of character banter. I've only been playing on normal difficulty and it's still pretty challenging, at least in single-player.
P.S. Every character has quick callouts you can use to communicate with other players. One of the Elf's 'hurry up' callouts is, "Gotta go fast!"
Gauntlet (2014) | Part 6 | EXPLODING ARROWS?!
Just curious, who else pre-ordered Gauntlet? Nostalgia and a general love of the series got me to do it. I'd love to hop in a game with some of you cool folks and smash some monster generators for old times sake.
