What’s your dream cannon scene?
There’s no way I could get them all - I’m sorry if your favorite isn’t here. Please don’t yell at me.
I excluded newer shows because they haven’t been as limited about who they write as queer.
Do you realise that Aug 10th (book timeline) is the one with:
"History huh? Bet we could make some"
And the movie literally comes out at Aug 11th, so yeah, they definitely knew what they're doing and history shall be made
Second art post. Doodles of Whimsy and Angel (as well as a personal design idea of an outdit for Whimsy) that has been found (minus the outfit idea) in @urbanqhoul and @wakkodoodle wonderful little series of shorts Whimsy's Rem World~ Again, I just got into the series and may be brain rotting on it, or dreamcore and weirdcore as a whole during the month.
Idk if I’ve said this before, but my very first exposure to gay culture (and RuPaul’s Drag Race) was Bianca Del Rio’s movie, Hurricane Bianca.
I was searching “gay movies” on Netflix when I was like 14 (💀), and that was one of the results. Then, for over a week after that, I didn’t look into it. I thought it was a one-off movie and “Bianca Del Rio” was just a movie character.
Then (randomly), weeks later, I happened to think of it, and I was like “Ugh, that movie was so iconic. I know it probably doesn’t have a huge following, but I wanna see if there’s any other content on it.” So I looked up “Hurricane Bianca” on YouTube, and that was the key that unlocked gay culture for me. I knew who Bianca Del Rio and what Hurricane Bianca was before I knew who RuPaul and what RuPaul’s Drag Race was.
Like, I unironically thought that Roy Haylock was just a regular actor who played a Mrs. Doubtfire-esk character. Color me surprised when I found out his primary career wasn’t acting in film, but literally being Bianca Del Rio, full-time. 😭 Like that’s the best case scenario of entering a niche fandom. Not only was there more content, but there was an entire fucking drag career I got to catch up on, with a guarantee for more in the future.
