My four weeks of GCSE exams start tommorow and I’m here reading GCSE memes.
What the poet may mean by this is that she’s absolutely fucked. An alternative interpretation is that she is going to fail. This may make the reader feel pity for the poet, or they may even relate and consider how fucked they are too. This could have been the intention of the poet, but probably not because she only intends to cry in every exam and use “Love thy neighbour” as every quote in her exam paper tommorow.
Tips for Exam Season 2018!
- Make a wall calendar with EVERY exam you will be taking this year, including the time it is happening and topics that it features. - Plan your revision strategically; what classes have exams earlier in the season? Revise the most for these, and then organise your further studying for later subjects throughout the season. - Quality over quantity! Don't spend 6 painful hours doing Biology flash cards when you can do 2-3 hours of B2 past papers and improve your application abilities. - Check your seat in the exam hall the night before AND morning/afternoon of your exams, as they can change overnight. - Arrive at the exam hall as early as you can so that you avoid the stress of having to leg it down there from the other end of the school. You don't need any more stress that you're already feeling! - DO NOT TALK ABOUT THE EXAM IMMEDIATELY AFTERWARDS. Leave the hall, walk to your next lesson/home, and go on Twitter after school to cry to the masses when you realise you've messed up (which I'm sure you won't have). - Cross off every exam from your calendar when its over- SO. SATISFYING. - Don't burn your revision material yet, as your teachers may ask for some of your folders back to review/inspect (this happened to my year during GCSEs and we all got in trouble for it). - Post some memes on Twitter, because it's the perfect lighthearted remedy to take away post-exam worries. - Stay HYDRATED and WELL-FED. You cannot perform your best on an empty stomach and a dehydrated brain, so make sure you have a glass of water and something to eat in the mornings before your exams. - Don't cram for an exam the night before it's happening. Realistically, you aren't going to learn anything new that you won't have forgotten about tomorrow morning, so just do some gentle revision over the topics you've already studied. - Prioritise your mental health! As much as teachers like to make out exams are the most important thing in your life, they aren't. You can resit them if worst comes to worst, but you should never compromise your wellbeing for a sheet of paper with numbers and letters on it this summer. - Stay calm and trust your instinct. You know more than you think, and will be able to enter 'the zone' in your exam and visualise all of those notes you were studying outside the hall five minutes ago. Have faith in your insight and tap into that fourth-dimension. - BELIEVE IN YOURSELF. BECAUSE I DO. Good luck Years 11, 12, 13, and to anybody else sitting GCSE or A-Level exams this year. Remember that it'll be over in a month, and you'll soon be reaping the fruits of your labour 💗
I finished my GCSEs!
It’s been two years of dedication, sacrafice and hard, hard work... But I’ve made it! (Grades are under the cut if you are interested - please don’t open if you think it might upset you/seem like bragging - I don’t want it to come across like that!). I hope you’ve all achieved what you wanted and deserved... Onto bigger + better things!
Of Mice and Men notes, how fun. I've been doing this for 40 minutes and have had a very productive morning so far quite proud of myself. I also got a new computer because it's an early Christmas present which I love! It's so good and a lot better than my old one.

First GCSE exam (RE) in 15 mins, and I'm on Tumblr. The place where Jesus is present the least.
A bit late but good luck to all students receiving their GCSE grades today! Y'all beautiful, hard working human beings and I hope you guys do amazing! No matter what, we're proud of you!
