Submas AU Masterpost

Feel free to use/do anything with my ideas (as long as you credit me for the au or inspiration or whatevs. I'm not stressed about it.)

These are my babies. My asks are always open!

Mirror AU:

Even separated by time and space, Emmet and Ingo somehow manage to match each other in more ways than just their appearances. It's entirely accidental... Until half a year after Ingo's disappearance when they realize that they can see each other in mirrors. From then on, they are a lot more hopeful about their futures. Nimbasa City, however, is not hopeful as the Subway Boss speedruns a transformation from a poor little meow meow to a full blown cryptid.

Prophet and Heretic AU:

Before he can join the Pearl Clan, Ingo goes to the rift on Mount Coronet for answers. Palkia and Dialga are too busy throwing hands to hear. Arceus does, though, and oh geez he should have thought things through before appearing before a mortal. By the time Ingo recovers from his holy fainting spell, he has all his memories back, spooky god powers, and a new headmate. At least Arceus promised to return him home in return for completing some quest to save the world...

Centuries in the future, a very lonely and remorseful Giratina approaches Emmet with a deal.

Paper Lantern AU:

When Ingo gets torn from his own time, he gets torn from his body as well. With nothing but his human soul, he possesses a paper lantern and invents a regional variant of Chandelure. His ace would be so proud. Meanwhile, Emmet is left with Ingo's alive but verrry much comatose body.

Ditto Emmet AU:

I just wanted to hit one of the boys with a shape shifter beam and Emmet is my favorite. A lot fun shape shifter things here. Like family fluff and body horror! And also Emmet copying the incarnation of time itself, hehehe-

Ghost Train AU (Danny Phantom Crossover):

The Distortion World is really just the Pokemon world's name for their version of the Ghost Zone. Ingo and Dawn get eaten up by a couple of natural portals, and two newly formed halfas arrive in Hisui a year apart. Arceus won't touch ghost child Akari with a ten-foot pole, but it all works out in the end anyways because Akari can't not help the nobles, and the Distortion World/Ghost Zone is a great medium for traversing time and space.

Submas Fusion AU:

Ingo and Emmet went to hisui together, but the distortion world said they can't have nice things. A man with no idea who or what he is woke up in a black and white coat in the coronet highlands, with only a handful of Joltik to protect him. He couldn't remember his name, but E and I came to mind. So, he guesses his name is Ei now...

Gear Session:

Homestuck au!

Arceus found a copy of Sburb in the Pokemon world and thought "that's not good" and sent the Nimbasa trio plus Akari on a mission to destroy the incipisphere from the inside out. No reckoning destroying the earth or frog breeding here, but there is a lot of temporary death. You know. Prototyping dream selves and questbeds and all that.

Fluff and Scales AU:

Hybrid au, but Ingo and Emmet are legendary hybrids.

Ingo and Emmet were born with black and white dragon wings. No one recognized them, so it was chalked up to a couple undiscovered species of pokemon and life continued as normal. But Drayden always suspected there was something more to them than that.

His suspicions were confirmed during the Team Plasma invasion, after which everyone and their mother knew what the dragons of legend looked like. And anyone who had ever been to Nimbasa could recognize the white fluff and black scales.

Also featuring Arceus hybrid Jackie and Absol hybrid Beni.

Tron AU:

Ingo got eebied to the grid instead of Hisui! He runs around the computer systems of Unova for about a month thinking he's a program, until he finds Gear station. The train autopilot programs, called ATOs, help their poor amnesiac User remember who he is, while someone unexpected brings Emmet into the digital world to help.

Thrice is a Pattern:

There were three skyfallers in Hisui. The first was an accident. The second was a failed rescue attempt. The third was the one who saved them all. Trainer Dawn never makes it back home after entering the distortion world, ending up in Hisui instead. Ingo is sent to the past to make it right, but he forgets his mission before he can even start. It's up to Lucas, now.

Kabaneri au:

Crossover with Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress! Instead of frenzies, Giratina unleashes a corruption on Hisui that turns people and pokemon into mindless zombies called Kabane. Arceus sends Dawn to cleanse the region, and promises she will be immune to the curse. He fails to mention that to do so, he will have to take away her humanity first.

They are on Akari's planet bc it seemed like the simplest aesthetic to pull of at the time. I'm gonna make a post about their planets later though.

I hope that means you don't mind more questions about Homestuck AU!

Because I have a few and will likely come up with more as they get answered.

Is anyone else involved (Iridia, Adaman, Kamado, any pokemon, etc)?

Does anyone get to keep godmode powers?

Could Ingo and Emmet maybe fuse and unfuse at will after the whole misadventure (I just thought it would be funny for sibling shenanigans)?

How does entering their worlds go?

What does everyone fight with?

What are all their worlds like?

How do they even play without any computers? Or did Arceus just. Godpowers them some computers?

How does Ei react to becoming Ei (I am assuming the memories of being seperate are kept in this AU)?

Of course i don't mind! I love questions. :>

This is a really long one though, so I'm just gonna plop it under a readmore.

The only people involved in the session are Ingo, Akari, Emmet, and Elesa, with the creation trio + Arceus trying to help through dms. Everyone gets to take their teams with them when they enter, though. I'm replacing the sylladex mechanic with pokemon mechanics. Imps other monsters in the incipisphere fight like pokemon, so "strifes" play out like normal pokemon battles. Although, i am not opposed to arming them with weapons for emergencies... That's something to think about later.

Everyone keeps god mode powers! I see no reason for them not to, and it's gonna be really hilarious when Elesa and Ei show up in Nimbasa with a missing person and powers that rival legendary pokemon. Absolutely wild.

About Ei's status after the whole ordeal... I haven't decided yet. I'm torn between having Arceus separate them so they can fuse at will, and having it be out of Arceus' power to do so. The latter is definitely the more evil option, but I don't know if i can do that to them. However, the first option might invalidate some of Ei's struggles in his journey. For now, prepare for the worst. ::>

I'm sure you already saw it, but for people who haven't, i described the gang's lands in another post here.

Arceus just gives the hisui gang some arclaptops to use. Complete with infinite battery charge.

And lastly, how Ei reacts to being a fusion. That is a huge can of worms and I'm not entirely organized on that front, so I think I want to go into that on a separate post. There is just too much there and I'm sure that I would be zoning out reading this post by now.

Alright time to inflict Homestuck brainrot on my followers.

I figured out some planet stuff for the Homestuck au squad. Here they are, in order of who enters the incipisphere. (Keep in mind that this is chronologically who enters first, but the server-client chain isn't entirely chronological.)

Ingo: Land of Candles and Shroud

Ingo's planet is dark and desolate. Thick smog covers the light of Skaia, and the plants are blackened and dry.

The land is entirely occupied by Litwick. According to them, the land used to be full of light and beautiful plants, and bees used to be everywhere. But a shadow fell over the sky, blocking out the light, choking the plants, and nearly driving the bees to extinction.

Ingo notes that the date the planet was covered in darkness seems to line up with both his and Emmet's report of how long ago he disappeared.

The litwicks left are struggling to survive. They cling to the meager light of each others' flames, holding on to the hope that they will see each other another day.

(if you think this is too much like John's planet. Welp. I don't know what to tell ya.)

Emmet: Land of Spires and Wire

Emmet's planet is urban, filled with towering marble architecture that is reminiscent of a city. The tynamo that call it their home work tirelessly to build it up, as they believe that one day a hero will arrive and reward them for their monuments. Somehow, Emmet doubts that this "hero" would appreciate them working themselves to death.

The lowest levels of the cities are submerged in and ocean filled with tynamo, meaning the only safe way to go between the buildings is to traverse the bridges of wire that form a net in the open air. Emmet would prefer to swim, but despite the good intentions of the tynamo and his immunity to paralysis, swimming in these conditions would not pass safety checks. At least the spiders can keep him company while he makes his way across.

Akari: Land of Wings and Petals

Akari's land is beautiful and peaceful. It reminds her somewhat of Floaroma town, what with the flowers that grow everywhere. There are countless butterflies all over the place.

The local cyndaquil are relatively carefree. The worst that ever really happens to them is the occasional fire started in the grass, and those rarely get too far out of control.

Akari's land confuses her. From what she's seen of Ingo and Emmet's worlds, there should be something to do, something to fix. But hers doesn't have that. Her consorts aren't there to call her to some grand action because she already has a quest. Her consorts are there to remind her that there are things outside of saving the world, and that she needs time to rest and be herself.

Elesa: Land of Sand and Opal

Elesa's planet is a desert planet. The sand is a shimmering iridescent white, with large hourglasses and formations of unpolished opal jutting up from the dunes. If you look closely enough, you can find jewel beetles in the sand, and if you follow them, you can sometimes find small oases with shimmering rainbow trees.

The planet is tidally locked, meaning Skaia doesn't move. If it's day where you are, it will always be day. Groups of emolga live in the sunset portion of the planet where it is relatively cooler but there is still enough light for plants to grow.

Recently, a village has been separated by an imp attack. The children and the pacifists ran while the able-bodied stayed to buy time. What was left of the group wanders the habitable zone, looking for their lost family.

Arceus in the homestuck au looking at paradox space and going "What ye fucketh this be not be a creation of thine own, get this shite out of thine devine sights" *throws two train guys, elesa and a child at it*

YEAH YEAH YEAH. Arceus is yelling "I WANT THAT TWINK OBLITERATED" in Ye Old English while the creation trio is sending their blessings and getting popcorn ready kajdjfjskdk

You know how in Homestuck, the alpha kids have the trolls in their dms? In this au, it's just Arceus, Giratina, Palkia, and Dialga. They all try to help everyone out equally, but Palkia has the most obvious soft spot for Akari and Ingo (and later, Ei). Dialga and Elesa have a mutual headache over how annoying time is, and Emmet and Giratina bond over harmless chaos.

Ok so the homestuck au is so stuck in my mind, it's not going anywhere. I guess that makes this au #9. I'm calling it "Gear session".

The timeline plays out like the canon timeline of PLA up until the point where Akari asks Arceus to bring herself and Ingo home. Arceus agrees, but there is one last thing he needs help with. He approaches Emmet and Elesa with the same deal, offering to return Ingo to them if they help.

Basically, there is a copy of Sburb in the Pokemon universe, and Arceus needs some humans to break the game from the inside so that it can never threaten the earth. Don't question it, homestuck is way too confusing for me to make this part make sense. Just know that i have no plans to go through with killing earth or frog breeding.

So, Arceus sends the Nimbasa trio plus Akari in to the game with the mission of obliterating the incipisphere entirely. No pressure. :>

Also, I decided to throw in a sprinkle of ✨prototyping shenanigans✨. Here we have a dead dream Emmet and a dead dream Ingo. The twins can't bear to see a version of their brother like that, and so they prototype revive. But the resulting sprites still have a prototype slot left.

Guess what happens when Ingosprite and Emmetsprite see each other for the first time? Yup. Reunion hug. And thus Eisprite^2 happens. And guess what happens when Ingo and Emmet get godtier? That's right. No more Ingo and Emmet. There is only Ei now. And they are verrry confused.

Here are some tentative classpects and moon alignments. They are subject to change, and I would appreciate some feedback on it! Although, please understand that I have a good reason for Emmet's aspect and I'm not doing a murder hobo with him.

Akari: Mage of Space, Derse

Elesa: Maid of Time, Prospit

Emmet: Seer of Rage, Derse

Ingo: Heir of Hope, Prospit

Ei: Knight of Heart. (can you really say he has a moon alignment...?)

"Tidbits"... *Looks at my walls of text* yes... tidbits...

Most of the stuff I have planned out so far are things about the squad's lands and quests, but I'm working on another post for that.

I have a couple ideas about the early game, though. Fair warning though, i play really fast and loose with Homestuck canon. It's super complex and there's too much to reconcile with Pokemon world, so I'm cherry picking Sburb rules.

Ingo and Emmet enter the incipisphere first, with Akari acting as Ingo's client and Elesa acting as Emmet's. Arceus gives the Hisui group a couple of computer setups to make this work out.

Ingo and Emmet both fail to prototype their sprites. They take one look at the flashing seizure ball and decide to figure it out later. Normally this would be verrry bad, but the group's goal isn't to breed a genesis frog, so they are probably fine. Probably. This also has the added benefit of prolonging the stalemate in Skaia so they have more time to find out what's going on and prevent the reckoning.

Eventually, Dialga and Palkia get Emmet connected to Akari and Ingo connected to Elesa to bring the last two into the session. Akari and Elesa both prototype their sprites once before they enter. Akari yeets a baneful fox mask at hers, Elesa tosses a bolt badge at it.

Also i really need to come up with a name for the group that is shorter than "Nimbasa trio plus Akari". That's way too clunky.
