Every background Depot Agent OC in Steady Tracks Do Not Waver so far 👍 (Not including the canon agents, because I haven't figured out how to differentiate them from @pigdemonart's depot agent designs in my head. Feel free to use them as temporary stand-ins, but bear in mind some of them have slightly different pronouns/identities just from my own differing interpretations of the characters)
I hope everyone can find an agent they enjoy! They'll continue to show up in minor roles throughout Steady Tracks, so I wanted to give everyone some faces to put to the names.
Some fun additional stuff about each agent:
Nnormann | Name only | 45~ish | Often lost in thought
Mini is a foster that Nnormann took in from a local shelter. Nnormann wants to give Mini a comfortable life, and turn around Nnormann's own life in the process. This new job is exactly the kind of first step Nnormann needs!
Payton | He/him | 50+ | Good perseverance
Payton has worked at Gear Station since before the Battle Subway was established. It's a more recent addition onto the preexisting commuter lines. He's turned down promotions in the past to stay on the battle roster for the Singles and Super Singles lines, so instead Ingo and Emmet opted to give him little medals commemorating his service to the subway.
Adrian | She/her | 25 | Impetuous and silly
She does genuinely believe that the stripe on her uniform makes her walk faster. Her entire team is full of dogs she's trained; Stoutland, Herdier, Growlithe, Poochyena, Electrike, and Rockruff. Their names are Boy Sr., Boy, Baby Girl, Choms, Sparky, and Rocky. She has no braincells.
Monty | He/him | 40~ish | Capable of taking hits
Monty has a Silicobra that was gifted to him by relatives overseas in Galar. He occasionally helps out at the local Pokemon Daycare with his Mudsdale, Dusty. He's very skilled in handling and connecting with Pokemon, but prefers driving the trains to battling. He's not as good with people.
Frizzle | Xey/xem | 21 | Scatters things often
Frizzle often gets lost in thought, which makes xem easy to sneak up on by accident. Xey're an avid reader and spend a lot of free time waiting for challengers by reading books xey bring to work with xem. Xey're pen pals with the Golurk trainer from chapter 1, who sends them scripts to beta read.
Darce | They/them | 18 | Quick tempered
Darce hasn't been working here very long, so they can't customize their uniform yet. However, they read the employee handbook cover to cover, and they never specified how mechanics need to wear the uniform. The damage just comes with the job, so they claim. They use eyeshadow to make their eye bags look darker than they actually are.
Rutile | Any pronouns | 35 | Somewhat of a clown
Either the best or worst person to know on April Fools Day. Rutile loves messing with Darce because they make it too easy. Those two are thick as thieves, though Rutile has earned a few punches here and there. (In good fun.) They occasionally model for Elesa, and gem-cutting and stone masonry are professions/hobbies that run in their family.
Gene | ?? He/him?? | 40~ | Thoroughly cunning
Gene is utterly obsessed with Pokemon Contests to an unhealthy degree. Each of his pokemon have color coordinated outfits, dance routines, and choreographed performance moves in combination with eachother. There might be something more dubious to him, though. It's unclear.

I’ve been going through some capital letters BS, and the instability mixed with managing my mental health has made it impossible to find a proper job. At the same time, fully rendered pieces can put me out of commission for weeks to months at a time, so i need to work on something more manageable. So, sketch comms! They’re light and simple so i can focus on composition and flow instead of “get this done as fast as possible”. Examples and details below!
