Egg Report

Veins!!! I just candled them and they have veins! They are good and healthy and growing little gecko babies who will be beautiful and loved! I'm so proud of Betel (Beetle) and I'm so proud of her eggs!

Hokay so I was cleaning out my crested gecko Zelda's cage today and I found some eggs. I tried candle-ing them with my cell phone flashlight and there's a red blotch in each of them. She's never been with a male, but double partho seems unlikely. We shall wait and see.

So, it seems as if a house gecko (or geckos) has laid eggs behind our water heater in our garage. We only found them because my husband was convinced something had died in our garage. I think it would be ok to leave them where we found them as there were hatched egg shells along side. Jason is interested in caring for them. Any ideas how to do that? I don't know the first thing about reptile egg care or geckos. We did the old flashlight test and most have something in them. We even saw them move! Not sure if all are fertilized but we'll see.
