On November 27, JYP announced ITZY's Gee's departure from the group. Since then, a lot of related details have been announced as well. JYP officially announced that they are going to be allowing Gee to keep her stage name as it is. Then a few days later, HYBE Labels revealed that Gee would be signing under their company as a soloist. While this news was extremely exciting to fans, they soon found out the reasoning behind Gee's leave.
The now soloist went live on her recently opened Instagram account to answer the many burning questions fans have for her.
"They didn't like the amount of dating rumors I had. They didn't like how I acted, they didn't like much about me. After I complained to the company about the music and everything I had a problem with, things just went downhill"
Within the past few years, Gee has been caught up in a total of 10 dating rumors and scandals, dating back to her debut with ITZY. Her first rumor being with her fellow member at the time, Ryujin. Next there was Jisung of NCT, Jongho of ATEEZ, Yeri of Red Velvet, Shuhua of (G)I-DLE, Chaewon during her IZ*ONE days, and many more.
Fans were angered by this news, demanding answers from JYPe. However the company has yet to reveal anything.
