So I may be thinking abt getting a gecko

Anyone have any advice for a beginner to the whole reptile thing? All I've done is fish+ an axolotl. What are some things to look for in one? What types are good for beginners?

My mom was a herpatologist and anyways we got these little metal geko statues for christmas and this morning I see her putting them up on the cabinets and she has this one near a glass panel and just murmers "gekos love glass"

the way tiny gekos wanna scare the crap out of me when I'm running. like buddy get out of the fucking pavement !!! I dont wanna step on you !!! and when I alter my path to avoid stepping on these gekos and they run off at same time. my heart literally stops like ah shit man are you trying to get crushed.
