Sharing my first DIY project! Hope to help other DIY brides in preparing and adding a personal touch on their Big Day :)
Materials used:
1. Crepe paper 2. Round styropor 3. scissors 4. gluegun/stick 5. glue gel
1. Cut the crepe paper on your desired size. Since I'll be using smaller flowers, I cut it in 2 1/2 inches (in width).
2. Spread, fold and cut the paper into 4. This can vary depending on your desired size. Note that the longer the length of the paper, the larger the diameter of the flower.
3. Apply glue gel on the edge of the paper.
4. Fold it in 3/4. Ensure an allowance of at least half an inch at the bottom part of the paper.
In folding, make sure that there's enough space (as shown on the picture) This will add the illusion to make it appear like a real rose.
5. Starting from the edge, roll the paper and form a rose bud.
6. Once you already have the base, roll it in a way forming the petals of a rose until you reach the other edge of the paper.
Squeeze with pressure the bottom part of the flower to make it intact. The glue gel you put earlier will hold the paper together.
7. Repeat steps to make more roses.
8. Cut the excess part of the flower.
9. Apply glue on the portion you cut.
10. Mark the center of the styropor that will be used as the base of the arrangement.
11. Start pasting the flowers on the styropor. To make it more organized, start on the upper part and follow a circular line.
12. Once you covered all the styro with crepe flowers, keep the flowers in good shape using a thin wire.
Tadaaaa! Happy Preps and Happy DIYing :)
