in light of the recent shadow & bone casting, would like to remind everyone that dyslexia isn't 'can't read disorder'! which is an approach i've seen all too often in this fandom. it's a little more complex than that - there's a variety of things it might impact or be associated with such as: short term memory, processing speed, spoken language and mathematical skills. of course, this all varies by person and so on. so really what i want to say is that it doesn't hurt to do a little bit of research into dyslexia and portray it with a little more nuance. certainly helps with the 'uwu illiterate wylan' issue that pops up!
