Uploading some of my old art reminded me of how much I enjoyed drawing gems in the past. So I tried my hand at it again. Although this time I kept my brush strokes more loose.

Gem studies I did last night ✨✨
Beautiful drawing made by me of a jade and a snake but please rate it
...drawing and coloring gemstone based on real object is much trickier than I imagined...
I will also edit to give the right info later
Information:
Prompt 28, under the moonlight: just a pleasant picture of some characters I drew earlier in the month. Though it is probably worth mentioning that all the cities of the underworld have a different relationship to the moonlight. This relationship is dependent mainly on two things, the first is thier proximity to the surface world the second is thier relationship to how they got to the underworld or why thier ansestors entered the underworld. For some cities they worship the moons in some way, either as a group or as an individual deity/identity. The cities that are well known for this worship is not any of the three cities focused on in this month. The cites that are much more focused on worship of the moon. like,
The city of the dragon fish, the city of the fish, and to a smaller extent the city of the cavern bat.
Not every city has a religious view of the moons some see them as beacons of light others see them as simply objects in the sky.
Prompt 30, mundane life. Three drawings of people from three cities doing every day things. three people from the bat cavern group going to the shopping streets. a family in black cowle enjoying an evening in each others company. and laundry day in the deep underground caves of dual millipede. prompt 24 crystals and gems. mostly just an excuse to extent prompt 26. though I did write some very simplistic blurbs on what the different common gemstones of the area are and what they mean to the majority of the groups. -jade and jadeite are a symbol of freedom and of luxury as it was a stone valued by their former oppressor. so when they gained their own freedom they reclaimed the stone for their own. the mystical artifact of the fifth moon (also called the moon light crown) was said to be made from jade or was at the very least jade like in appearance. its older symbolism of luxury, beauty and harmony is a carry over from the surface world. -Moon stones are the symbol for the moon and the ocean, but also a symbol of security, safety and the Devine. the safety of the night that darkness provides fro the dark fauth. it is a popular stone near the surface. -Amethysts, coveted over other gem stones not for their rarity but for their color. along with their brown twin citrine these stones are popular in jewelry. the stones are symbolism of peace, serenity, inner beauty and of magic. because the color purple has become associated with the natural magic of the underworld. -The Onyx symbolizes intelligence, elegance and mystery. for many of the same reasons amethysts and moon stones are valued. -Agates are common in the area, more so than moonstones and amethysts, they are colorful and have come to symbolize creativity energy and magic. as they like people are layered, colorful and more than they appear on the surface. -pearls and amber, are rarely used in the underground they are seen as symbols of oppression and subjugation, but hard work. pearls are especially valued by the surface world and unlike jade that came to be seen as a symbol of freedom the pearl (and amber) never lost that association. a lot of the underground still carvers pearls, but only as a commodity to sell to someone from the surface world. -Jaspers, a lot of different jaspers have a lot of individual meaning and symbolism to them. cities will often have a specific jasper that is an official or unofficial symbol of the city. some cities that do not use animals or plants for their banner will use a jasper (or agate) instead. generally speaking they symbolism unrestrained beauty, along with prosperity and resilience.
