I've been trying to complete this picture since 2019.
and I finally did.
Theses are two spirit creatures known as corrupted Ivelar.
A member of CIRCUS and her sister.
This map is actually relevant still. The doodles on the side are not.
This is the Amaterasu Artipeligo. An island chain off the eastern coast of Aukulir. That I have done very little work on as of yet. Primarily due to its isolation and irrelevance to the other countries regions and continents of the central hemisphere.
On the other hand it is just fantasy Japan. I think Japan is neat in culture, history, fashion, and mythology. (I’m a bit of a weeb if you could not tell)
Sometime in the future I will probably cast my eye on it.
Random assortment of worldbuilding doodles and me hashing things out.
Plant beast.
A special kind of way the infinite forest can infect and influence creatures within it.
Some members carnival one.
More old maps. These had more work done on them. Still they are non canon due to their age
Old half finished sheets of the continents of music box. These are no longer cannon but neat to look at.
Part 5
Part 4 of old drawings
Part 3 of my very old drawings of music box. Most of these revolve around the organization CIRCUS in some manner.
But very early in the development, back when I still probably remembered what the acronym stood for.
We have some more of my very old drawings. Several of these are old drawings of the four grand witches.
Also the first drawings of Lea and his sister.
This is part 2
Some of my oldest drawings of Music Box.
I have a lot of these and some intention of redoing them.
This is part 1
City of Carcosa... or how the people of Maryoul call it the city of Karracosa is a strange place. Its a reflection of a place the should not... can not exist. the kind of city you would see in your dreams.
Drawing of what the six most common fantasy races (According to Tv Tropes. com, with some minor adjustments) look like in Music box.
Or their equivalents at least.
-Orc: in music box they are actually not counted as an intelligent species. they are roughly on par with how we think about monkeys. there's also a lot of different species of orcs. They are smart... but not that smart.
-Elf: there are a few creatures that could be analogous to elves, such as the Fauth of o'ller and o'sten or the Elv (who are humans), but I chose to represent what I normally call my "Elves" that is the long-eared. They are actually related to Trolls and Giants, who in turn count Orcs as their common ancestor along with several other creatures.
-Dwarf: so my personal beef with fantasy dwarves aside. The Dwarves of Music box are a creature specific to the mountains of Julnier, other than looking like... well that, they are in line with stereotypical fantasy dwarves.
-Humans: humans are humans, but music box has a lot of weird variety. from the many or few eyed, Eyj, to the short statured Rim, to the sexually strange pointy eared Elv. to the big bodied Oger, to the more typical humans of the Eve, to the horned Fuan, to the strangely coloured Viker. I chose to depict a relatively normal looking Eve here.
-Halfling: or hobbit or half foot, or munchkin, or kinder or whatever other name is being used for them. These where not listed among the most common races on Tv Tropes, but I decided to include them anyways because well Tolkien. I could have drawn any number of short statured creatures to fill this role. for example I do have creatures named Halflings -sort of its a nickname- who are mouselings related to Dwarves, but I didn't want to do that. I could have drawn the Rim, but as I mentioned they are just human. So instead I chose to draw Knitt, who are a species of small troll. They are also descended from Orcs.
-Goblins: Finally there are goblins. Goblins are a kind of lesser fay. they can take on any number of appearances depending on their names. I'm not actually sure what kind of Goblin this one is specifically in might be some kind of Puck or Boggart, but I'm not certain off the top of my head.
Hazanathi
Kin: Heaven
Lifespan: 145 years
Prevalence: Common in Central Hemisphere, excluding Raljunjas where they are uncommon.
Magic. The Hazanathi are innately magical with the majority of their population being born with some kind of magic. Like most species among the heaven kin their magic is normally predictable. Though the magics can vairy from flock to flock most of the Hazanathi have the powers of Light manipulation, Luck or Bending wind currents in their direct vicinity, they may have one or more of these abilities. Some groups like the rose winged Lillulans of the grey winged Vitter have abilities unique among their heritage such as empathy of fog creation respectively. roughly 87% of the population is born with an innate magic an additional 10% will have their magic naturally fall into one of these magics if they learn magic, while another 2% will have entirely unique magics. 1% of their population are incapable of learning magic.
Flight. The Hazanathi are capable of flight with their feathered wings. their bodies are adapted for it. Their ears are able to "roll up" and be tucked into their hair as they fly to avoid getting frostbite and other things. Their eyes have a kind of gradient in their vision that makes it so they can fly in bright blue skies without being blinded by the sun, but makes their night vision terrible. their toes and fingers are longer than those of humans with small rigged bumps at their tips that allow them to grip onto things that they land on. their bodies can more efficiently take in oxygen for their circulatory system. their bones are hollow and quite light but also somewhat fragile. then of course they have their massive wings. Each wing is approximately one and a half the length of their hight if not longer, they have a powerful extra set of pectoral muscles that control the wings, they use their legs to stabilise and change direction. They are not as manurable in the compared to creatures with tails like Imps, Harpies and Grip, but they can fly for long periods of time.
Flock. The Hazanathi live in a variety of groups with their own identities and cultures. From the Angelics of the stone trees and the Sand winged in the south of Scalipia, to the black winged Tengu of Aukjulir or the protective golden winged Gurula of the Circle of heaven. There are many flocks and groups of these winged people.
Ideology. Despite living continents apart and having vastly surroundings the Hazanathi often share very similar values, even if they have different way of going about their values. The Three Major groups of Hazanathi are The Angelics, Tengu and Iriy who all share a value of Perfection, and Power. Generally they are isolationists. Bloodline, Family and flock fidelity are also of great importance to the Angelics, Tengu and Iriy who all value fealty. They also generally believe that strong magic is a measure on moral characteristics, in so seeing humans who have chaotic magic as untrustworthy or weak. As lacking perfection. Meanwhile vampires are viewed with suspicion and inferiority due to their shapeshifting and general lack of innate magic as well as their magic being similarly chaotic to the likes of human kin. There's a good reason why northern scalipia (dominated by vampires and humans) has a noticeable lack of Hazanathi flocks. There are of course exceptions to this like the Lillulans who integrate into their local human (and other) communities or the Gurula who see themselves as protectors of the meek and mild.
Legacy. They largely believe they are the rightful inheritors of the legacy of the Eoutrophs and often have some form of ancestry worship of the Ancient civilisation. not every group or flock believe this but it is pervasive enough among their major groups. It is unclear if the Hazanathi are a species that arose naturally, by some deities intervention or where a bred creation of the Eoutrophs. some of them even believe that their connection goes deeper than the Eoutrophs believing they are direct descendants of the Holy. some families are as they have Serephs in their recent family bloodlines.
--I can't exactly remember what inspired these guys as a species. Though I do remember the first character I created of the species: Analisa Goth. A disabled (can't fly, because she was born with one wing that was too small) black winged stone tree angelic, who suffered great amounts of abuse at the hands of her brother because of her disability and the fact that she was seen as unlucky due to her black wings among the angelics who want their wings to be white or as pale pastels as possible. (man middle school me was mean to charecter...no I'm still mean to my characters.) She managed to escape her awful family and found love in her fishy girlfriend Crown Princess Philippa of the Neptonian Empire.
Douelo
Kin: Demon
Lifespan: They live about a decade or two on average than their parent species.
Prevalence: Fairly common, found among most species
Many selves one body. By far the most interesting thing about Douelo is that they are multiple individuals who share the same body. They are born this way. Most of them are two individuals sharing a body, but they can have many more. Its rare they have more than five Faces who share a body, but Douelo with twelve or more Faces do exist.
Limited shapeshifting. Douelo are shapeshifter, but are limited in the fact that they can only shapeshift between the different forms of their different identities. Some Faces have very minute changes between each others, others have to go though a rather drastic transformation. it is believed that the more unlike the different faces are from each other the more extreme the differences in their forms are. Its not unheard of douelo to become suck or lack the ability to shapeshift instead possessing extra limbs heads or other features that the other Face controls. This is very common in Gorgon Douelo.
Divided skill. Douelos are multiple individuals, each individual has their own skillset. Often parts of these skill sets overlap but this is not guaranteed for example one Douelo can be a witch skilled in magic but the other one wouldn't know what to do with a wand if handed one.
Resistance to Possession. Because of the fact that they are multiple minds it is difficult for them to get possessed by spirits. it can occur but usually the spirit doesn't stick around for long.
Many Mothers Child. Nearly any species can be born as a douelo. In some cases a Douelo is of two different species, though this is a relatively rare occurrence, more common among individuals who's family has mixed ancestry. For example one of the Neptonian Empresses was a Douelo of a Mermaid and a Finfolk. It is believed that douelo where soul twins or two individuals who tried to be part of the same body. Why exactly douelo happens is unknown. Some places fear or kill douelo but most just accept them as a fact of life like people being twins. --The inspiration for this creature it wears on its sleave. The novella The Strange Case of Dr. Jeckle and Mr. Hyde. as well as its adaptation The Glass Scientist. I've mentioned in another post that they are not inspired by nor mean to portray Dissociative Identity Disorder. (though if any system out there finds comfort in them by all means do so). IDK I seem to really enjoy characters who are multiple individuals that share a body.
