Prehnite comes in a lot of odd shapes. This creature is specifically based on snakehead prehnite, which is an epimorph.

Gemuary 2026 Day 4: Lopezite

Lopezite is the mineral form of potassium dichromate. It's very rare in nature, but it's frequently grown in labs. It's water-soluble and highly toxic, so watch out!

'Lopez' means 'son of the wolf', so I made it look like it's got a wolf's pelt!

Gemuary 2026 Day 1: Turquoise

This one is loosely based on Xiuhcōātl, an Aztec serpent deity whose name translates to 'Turquoise serpent" and was associated with fire!

Gemuary 2026 Day 22: Pitambari Neelam

Pitambari Neelam is an Indian term for a blue-and-yellow bicolor sapphire. In Hindu mythology, blue and yellow sapphires are associated with Saturn and Jupiter respectively, so I gave this creature aspects of both!

Gemuary 2026 Day 20: Medusa Quartz

Medusa quartz is a type of quartz with little gilalite inclusions, so named because said inclusions look like little jellyfish, or "medusa"!
