I wanted to try putting similar terms in the same place, to help questioning people narrow down their search :] All of these terms are abinary, autonomous, aporine, or outherine in some way! Terms with an asterisk (*) are xenogenders.
Aporagender: A nonbinary gender, or group of genders, defined as being separate from male, female, and anything in between, while still being a strong and specific gendered feeling. Aporagender people are not a combination of male and female (androgyne), and still have a strong gendered feeling, unlike agender.
Aporagender can be used as an umbrella term or as a gender on its own. Aporagender can sometimes be a synonym of neutrois, depending on the definition of neutrois used. It is very similar to abinary, and all aporagenders are inherently abinary, however aporagenders are also very commonly atrinary (but do not have to be). Maverique is a well known example of an aporagender.
Maverique: A nonbinary gender that is defined as being completely independent from male, female, masculine, feminine, neutral, or anything in between or derived from any of them. It is also not a lack of gender. It is characterized by autonomy and inner conviction regarding a sense of gender which is unorthodox, unconventional and entirely independent of conventional concepts of gender. Despite this maveriques have a distinct and firm sense of gender.
*Voluflux: An audiogender that fluctuates in volume. Sometimes it is louder (ampligender) and sometimes it is quieter (mufflegender). It is different from genderdynamics as voluflux is unrelated to music.
Juxtaneu: A nonbinary gender that is connected to and is derived from epicenity or gender neutrality but is still distinct from epicene, or neutrois. Juxtaneu is a something separate and entirely on it’s own, but it is not outside of the gender spectrum.
*Gendercosm: A gender identity encompassing and surpassing the limits of the earth/society, but doesn’t incorporate existing genders from society; A gender identity so grand and huge it cannot be explained by words. the opposite of gendervoid.
Other (Othergender, Other-gender, Eligender): An otherly, different, or foreign gender, but also a specific/objective gender identity. It is beyond the pre-established gender terms within a society. It is typically used as a general category for any gender that is outside the rest of the given options. For example, usually in documents, there is "male", "female" and "other" option, possibly among other options. It may overlap with x-gender in this way. Though some people may identify as "other" as a specific identity, similar to nonbinary.
Genderknown: A gender that feels incredibly specific and important, that feels present but not necessary, that feels vague and indifferent, and that feels nonexistent and unimportant. All of these perceptions of the gender are present at once; Not fluid or flux. This term can be used as a descriptor, or as its own gender term; Genderknown may function as an adjective or noun.
⚠️ Note: Some terms overlap with others, and that’s okay! Just because people have similar experiences, that doesn’t mean they should have to define themselves in the same, standardized, ~correct~ way. Embrace diversity, reject identity policing! 💖
