gendrya week 2020 day two: tropes and alternate universe

1963. Arya Stark's life is turned upside down when her father, Ned Stark - a top nuclear scientist, is believed to have been kidnapped to work on a nuclear bomb. To find her father, she works together with Gendry Waters, a secret agent on a mission to save the world from a nuclear disaster. For lack of a better cover, both are forced to pretend they're lovers who recently got engaged.  Arya is a talkative social butterfly and tomboy who likes working on cars, while Gendry is known as a grump who doesn't share much about himself.  And while they can't stand eachother upon first meeting, pretending to be engaged begins to bring these two polar opposites closer together.
