saying this to make sure y'all are reflecting on your own biases: but when a character loses a limb or an eye or gets a scar or WHATEVER and you don't like it, think about WHY. bc if the answer is always shallow or ableist you need to unlearn that. bc a story needs to move forward, and sometimes that means leaving scars.
