i don't know when this was sent but it must've been sometime after last thursday when i logged in last because i didn't see it then. thank you for your message :) i actually just started mortuary school and i have a lot of shit on my plate right now. i want to get back into RP and have been planning to! i will be back. don't worry. i'm just on a hiatus at the moment.
i appreciate that you like my kankri(s)! to be honest part of the reason why i have been gone is i actually feel really self conscious of my portrayal of him lately. i mean generally i am very self-critical when it comes to characterization and it can make me feel terrible and discouraged overall when that happens. taking a step back is how i self regulate when it comes to that. essentially what's going on right now is that 1. due to current life events, i lack the mental energy to RP (this includes my cherami/para RPs too. i haven't done any replies for over a month) and 2. i need to come to terms with my feelings about my various characterizations (it sounds ridiculous, i know), stop feeling embarrassed about things i regret doing, and move on — which requires mental energy as well. and it's a very unique sort of writer's block. but i have worked through this before many times and i will again. like straight up i just need to get my shit together and lock in. typically my interest in RP after being inactive pops up very suddenly, so it's hard for me to give anyone a definite time or date or anything.

what the fuck is up with calling people performative for reading a book that you don't personally think they are the type to be reading. stranger in the park reading poetry and you think they look like theyre too stupid to get it so you assume that (instead of you being an asshole for assuming the personality of a stranger) they must be performing their interest, for you, a person who they have not looked at and do not know exists. these people are being created in a lab to try and convince the rest of us that reading a book can only be done for the benefit of an audience and not just because reading is awesome. stop filming strangers for tiktok and join your local library's summer reading club and maybe you'll calm down
