Ingredients: 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces. 1/4 cup cornstarch. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. 3 cloves garlic, minced. 1 teaspoon ginger, minced. 1/4 cup soy sauce. 1/4 cup hoisin sauce. 2 tablespoons rice vinegar. 2 tablespoons brown sugar. 1 teaspoon sesame oil. 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional. 2 green onions, sliced for garnish. Cooked rice, for serving.
Instructions: Put the chicken pieces in a bowl and coat them all over with cornstarch. Put the vegetable oil in a big skillet and heat it over medium-high heat. It will take about 5 to 6 minutes of cooking after adding the chicken until it is golden brown and fully cooked. Take the chicken out of the pan and set it aside. Put the ginger and garlic in the same pan and cook for one minute. Add the rice vinegar, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes, if you want to use them. Put the chicken back in the pan and toss it around so that the sauce covers all of it. After that, cook for another two to three minutes until the sauce gets thicker. Add some sliced green onions as a garnish. Serve hot on top of rice that has been cooked.
