On National Cheeseburger Day, you can enjoy a tasty Double Cheeseburger that is based on the famous Bleecker Street Burger. The juicy beef patties, melted American cheese, and classic toppings make this burger a real treat for the taste buds.
Ingredients: 2 beef patties 1/4 lb each. 4 slices of American cheese. 4 hamburger buns. 1/4 cup diced onions. Lettuce leaves. Tomato slices. Pickles. Ketchup. Mustard. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Season beef patties with salt and pepper. Grill patties for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare or longer for desired doneness. During the last minute of cooking, add a slice of cheese to each patty and allow it to melt. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill until lightly browned. Assemble the burgers by placing lettuce, tomato slices, and pickles on the bottom bun. Top with a cheese-covered patty, then add diced onions.
