That was really good! They needed to explain Infinite's backstory and I like that they made it so I don't really feel bad for him, but I do understand where he's coming from now. I loved everything with X-80. That was so fun. And that end was great. That was very unexpected but worked so well. I am very excited to see where this all goes next!

There will be moments when I doubt myself and think, “maybe it’s just me” when I see fan reactions on Reddit…
But then I will see reactions and sales numbers everywhere else and I am like, “no…it genuinely seems like the majority of people feel this way”…

That was really good! I mean, it wasn't too surprising that Infinite betrayed them. But it still hit the way it needed to. And I loved the X-80 reveal. It makes sense that a time traveling mutant would be able to survive her own death, but it was still a fun moment. And I have to always shout out my love for Gabby. She's the best!

Honestly Gen X23 felt DOA on arrival because it didn't get marketed at ALL basically prior to its release. Like it feels like Marvel just feels like GenX23 is filler and not to care about it. Which is kinda sad because Houser has the voice of Laura down pretty good.
Which I find hilarious is if you look over at IDW they are MARKETING THE SHIT out of their upcoming Sonic X Godzilla crossover. Issue doesn't come out till July and they've already sent out review copies and early reviews are coming in.
Opposite ends of the market spectrum for real.
Yeah, Gen X23 has had tons of major problems honestly: lack of marketing…being another clone plotline…the name…another book introducing a bunch of teen characters after major new generation bloat…Houser announcing there would be no Academy X kids…feeling like it’s just ANOTHER attempt to copy Tom Taylor…
It’s sad because I do think Houser has done better than Schultz or Tamaki… but I also feel like the chimera’s being cheap knockoffs of Academy X, after fans have literally BEGGED Marvel to use them is just another slap in the face!
Honestly all the solos and team books feels like filler until they decide to roll out the new era, though. It’s basically “Age of X-Man” all over again. 😕
