Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge Echoes of the Empire #2
That was very whatever. I do not care for this writer so IDK why I bothered with this series. This was such a nothing issue. I feel like the target demo is at most 8 year olds. So yeah...

Psylocke Ninja #5
That was fine. IDK. It didn't blow me away, but it wasn't a bad time either. I think I just didn't connect emotionally. The action was def good. That's all I got.

The Amazing Spider-Man Spider-Versity #2
That was fun! The Norman reveal at the end was not surprising, but I still had a good time with this. I enjoyed seeing the Spiders improve as a team. And I really liked seeing Cindy and Gwen as roommates. That was super cute! I'm sure this'll be a cute, fun a little series!

Generation X23 #4
That was really good! I mean, it wasn't too surprising that Infinite betrayed them. But it still hit the way it needed to. And I loved the X-80 reveal. It makes sense that a time traveling mutant would be able to survive her own death, but it was still a fun moment. And I have to always shout out my love for Gabby. She's the best!
-Chuck
Batwoman #3
That was a decent. I am afraid that my prediction seems to be coming true in that I'm forgetting more details between issues. I think it's because it's so many new characters for me. But I am still enjoying this. I can feel for Kate's struggles. The action is good. The art is fun. The story def has me pulled in. I'm just a little lost a times. Though I feel by the end things should come around well.

Rogue #5
That was a good, emotional ending. I liked that she failed. That she couldn't talk her way out of this messed up situation. That is just how life goes sometimes. But as painful as the meeting was for John, I do feel like this healed him some. To have Rogue fully understand what she did to help probably had a catharsis to it. I'm curious what the ramifications of this will be, if any. But I hope this isn't the end. It's a lingering pain that should linger.

Jessica Jones: Alias #3
Yet another great issue! I loved the brutality of the fight between Jess and Typhoid. The unhinged-ness of the Postcard King was great. And that end was so unexpected yet fantastic! Just everything about this issue really sang! Loved it!

Barbara Gordon Breakout #1
This was really good! I'm immediately pulled in. I will say, I don't know a ton about comic Barbara and I know nothing of this Vandal Savage, but they explained the situation super well, that I'm just right there. It's such a fun, classic prison story, but with a superhero at the heart of it, you know she's going to win most fights. And that action was so good! I was legit annoyed that the story ended because I really wanted to keep reading! This was a great start! I can't wait to see where it goes!

Shadow of Maul #3
I continue to be disappointed in this comic because it's clearly not the Maul comic, it's the Brander Lawson comic. Maul is basically not in this. The story isn't bad. It's actually quite good. It has strong Blade Runner vibes. But I came here for Maul not Lawson...

Batgirl #19
I wasn't super into this issue, but the end def brought me around. The little twist was fun. And it was cute seeing Cassandra happy with both her families. So yeah. It was nice. I'd honestly be fine if this were the series finale. They wrapped everything up so nicley.
-Chuck
Planet She-Hulk #6
I don't think I cared for that ending. Just having a character explain what happened in a monologue? It makes it feel like they desperately needed to wrap this up and that was the fastest way they could think of. And I disagree. That ending did not make what excited to see what comes next. I'm happy this is done cuz I don't want to read it anymore.

Captain Marvel Dark Past #2
Okay. That was kind of A LOT to take in, but it was good. Like, while reading it, I was worried I wasn't processing it all, taking it all in, but it def all clicked. And like that last page def hit emotionally the way it was meant to. This feels like a big, old, complicated Jason Bourne mystery and it's really scratching an itch. I'm digging this. Though I am a little worried I'm going to forget important information between issues. But there's nothing I can really do about that.
-Chuck
All-New Spider-Gwen Ghost-Spider #10
I would say that was a solid last issue. It was a little quick and tighty, but it hit the way it needed to. That was a fun fake out that was still believable. It had good drama. I loved the image of Gwen getting gassed. It looked brutal! Little sad this is ending, but Gwen always comes back!
-Chuck
Generation X23 #3
This was such a great story! I love how much I've already bonded with these new characters and really care for them and their struggles. I think it stems from both Gabby and Laura's love for them. It's contagious. And the story is really compelling. I can't wait to read what's next!

Astounding Miles Morales: Spider-Man The Art of Thwip #1
Firstly, that title is stupid. It's too much. It needs to settle down. Secondly, this issue was too long. It was too different stories. The first one went on for forever and stopped being interesting pretty quickly. I can't judge the second story on it's own because I was so annoyed by the first that that carried over. I feel like I could have enjoyed the second story, but it's impossible to say. I'm more annoyed that this poorly titled comic isn't just a one off.
-Chuck
Jubilee Deadly Reunion #1
That was fun! I haven't actually read a whole lot with Jubilee so idk much about her. But I thoroughly enjoyed this. The mystery was fun, with great reveals. The characters where layed. It got to some nice, emotional places. And the action ass spot on! It did everything I wanted it to do. This was a great, little one-shot!
-Chuck
Zatanna #1
I've read a few of Zatanna's series now and I generally enjoy them. This definitely wasn't bad, but IDK if it really grabbed me. I won't pass judgement on it yet but it's got a ways to go. The art was great though!
