Batwoman #5

That was solid. I dug how Kate was able to rescue Beth. Ya know, by convincing her that she's Batwoman and that she needs to save her sister. That's fun. And the whole thing had a good, dark mood. Mother Superior saying that them losing was actually a victory was kind of the more meh part. That's a classic trope. If there was more evidence that pointed to how it was a good thing for her without her just straight up saying it, I would have been more okay with it. I can def guess where she's coming from since Beth is VERY unwell. But idk. I needed something just a little bit more. Again though, overall, this was a good issue that I enjoyed. It's just the ended didn't quite land exactly right for me.

Galaxy’s Edge Echoes of the Empire #4

I mean, this was def the best one so far. A gang chasing down Han and Chewie is fun. And it's also nice that they finally called attention to the fact that literally this entire series is just the characters stalling for time. That explains why every issue feels like they're just spinning their wheels. But yeah. This one wasn't awful. I'll take it.

What if…? Jessica Jones #1

That was okay. As far as What If's go, it was pretty standard. I did enjoy the flashback stuff. The art style was fun and I dug the costume. The overall plot was alright I guess. I was expecting a bit more out of this one because I like the writer. But it's just fine.

The Amazing Spider-Man Spider-Versity #4

I gotta say that it's annoying that the cover spoils the very end of the issue. I hate them they do that and this is no exception. That said, this was still a good issue. Miles and Gwen chatting was fun. Normal revealing his plan to rehabilitate bad guys was nice. I do wish we saw the moment Carnage decided to reveal himself to Spider-Boy, but it's not a big deal. So yeah. This was an alright issue.

Barbara Gordon Breakout #3

That was a fun issue. Half of it was Babs losing her mind and the other half was an investigation that turned out to be a trap. That was just great! I don't even have the words for it. It was just exactly what I wanted from this series. Loved it!

The High Republic Adventures Pathfinders #3

I did not care for this issue. There was a murder. A Jedi discovered the bodies and then did NOTHING until more Jedi arrived, but she wasn't even waiting for them. Like she didn't question the only suspects. She didn't look at the computer or the logs. Everyone was wide awake at night when she showed up. So It wasn't late. And then the other Jedi showed up when it was light out. So she had like 8 hours to investigate. What was she doing? She didn't even cover the bodies or the hole in the wall she made. Had she done her job, the story should have been over by the time the other Jedi showed up. I am not digging this new series.

Shadow of Maul #5

This 100% should have just been a one off. This single issue tells us everything all the others did but in a way that was right to the point and best of all, WE ACTUALLY GOT TO SEE MAUL DO SHIT!!! That's all I've been waiting for. I think this issue double his number of pages in this series. Also, I have to admit, this doesn't make me want to watch the show. I don't have any faith that it's actually going to be about Maul. So yeah. This was a strange series that shouldn't have been.

Sorcerer Supreme #8

I def enjoyed the concept of turning an unkillable gun into a living being that you can then try to reason with, a fun idea. They really took their time exploring that concept. Overall, the story felt a bit bloated though. I'm not super into the Extinction King or Turin. They're not bad, I'm just not vibing.

Jeff The Land Shark Superstar #1

That was fantastic! I didn't realize that this was going to be different from a regular Jeff series. Like this has actual dialogue and a lot of plot. But I am all here for it. It's a really fun setup. I dig this new team; Jeff Coast Avengers. It was also really nice to see both Gwen and Kate. I miss them a lot. I hope they stick around for the main story. And of course Ken is super adorable. I'm super excited to see where this story goes. It should be a blast!

Batgirl #21

Okay, that was fairly obvious where it was going; the answer to the question of who killed Victoria. That said, the journey getting there was still a lot of fun. Just jumping around her memories like that. It was great visuals. And I loved the drama of not being able to hear everything. That added a lot of tension. The whole thing was just fantastic! I loved it!

What If…? Secret Wars #1

That was a lot of fun! I really enjoyed that. I miss the old Ultimate universe. Yes, it had lots of flaws, as pointed out here, but it was also a lot of fun! It felt more free to take risks. It let characters die. I miss that. And I love this story too because it really feels like a continuation. It's not just a what if where they slightly move the pieces around but tell a story we've seen a million times. This felt fresh and interesting and the start of a whole new story. I genuinely wish this wasn't just a one off.

Marvel Swimsuit Special Brand New Beach Day #1

Yeah, that was fine. None of the stories super grabbed me, but none were terrible either. They all seemed a bit too short and didn't quite do enough to really justify their existence. That said, I liked the last one the best. Seeing Jen is always fun. I also loved the last page with Kate and Jeff. That was super cute. Love it!

Zatanna #3

I gotta say, I'm still struggling with this series, but the art has been top notch! I in particular loved the fight scene with Special Agent. That was beautiful! I'm a bit confused why I'm not that into this story. I've really liked Zatanna's other recent ones. But hopefully something clicks for me soon.

Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge Echoes of the Empire #3

For a hot second there, I thought the story was legit over and I was really excited. Like the story came to a natural conclusion. The fact that it persists on is poor writing. I don't care about Oga or her life. This story is just doing absolutely nothing for me.

Shadow of Maul #4

What I have to say stays the same for every issue. I would consider this a good, fun story, if Maul's name WASN'T in the title. Like yeah, technically this was all about Maul but we see him for literally one panel. ONE PANEL.

I continue to be annoyed by this series.

Batwoman #4

That was really good! Learning all about Beth and how she effected Kate was super interesting. Beth believing that she's Kate was fantastic! I enjoyed all the drama. For an issue with no fighting, there sure was a lot of action! I really dug it!

That was an interesting issue. It was mostly just Wanda sorta flirting with Turin. I think I enjoyed myself. It def wasn't a bad experience by any means. So yeah. IDK. It was fine.
