Isaac, His Bride, and Jesus in the Old Testament
#Genesis24:16 And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up. #DailyBread #BibleVisuals #IUIC #Truth #Bible #Genèse 24:16 C'était une jeune fille très belle de figure; elle était vierge, et aucun homme ne l'avait connue. Genesis 24
Gazed at God’s promises
The man gazed at her in silence to learn whether the LORD had prospered his journey or not.
The servant was gazing at Rebekah in silence, in full attention, see and learn whether she is the one that he had called to come for. To see and learn the ways we are in, is it from God or not. You might think you can’t do it, but when you are focus with what God has promised you, and know that He is with you, you will learn to discern, in another word, gaze the ways infront of you to learn from each road, whether God had prospered it for you or not.
I know my company is going through a rough time. At the end of it, we are all not perfect. We are all sinners. There’s no perfect workplace in this world. We all fall short in some way or not. But still, we stay true with our identity in Christ. I shall not move according the temptations around me. Instead, God will teach me to gaze, to put down what I’m currently doing, thinking, and worrying, and simply gaze into the situation and see whether God had prospered it or not. And I will know when to leave or when to move on. Because He is with me no matter where I go, what I do. I don’t need to strive to be known, I’m already known by the King of kings, Lord of lords.
Amen
By Claude Stauffer Where was it that the Lord led this servant to a successful answer to his prayer? It was while he was, “being on the way, the LORD led me . . .” (24:27). There is a critically important truth in these words. That truth is, before God can lead us along the path, we need to be on the path. We see this truth in the following scriptures: Psalm 37:23: The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way. Proverbs 3:5-6: 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Jesus is the way the truth and the life and before you can experience all that God has for you, you must first come to know Him (John 14:6; 17:3). Once you receive new life in Christ, you pass from your way to God’s way and God’s way is a way of tremendous blessing. The servant was a man of worship (24:26-27, 52). When he saw the answer to his prayers and fulfillment of his mission he was moved to worship the Lord. He just had to bless God for leading him in this incredible way. How about you, do you bless and thank God when He answers your prayers? We are called to be thankful in all circumstances (1 Thessalonians 5:18: in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you). That doesn’t mean we are thankful for all things, it simply means we are thankful in all things. Why are we thankful in all things? Because God is with us to get us through all things. And for that we should worship Him. #Genesis24 #ServingJesusChrist #WorshipTheLord https://www.instagram.com/p/BrINrk4FQdz/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=2frqez0tq69n

Ginaya lang namin ginawa ni Rebekah. Dahil alam niyang maganda siya at ayaw niyang magustuhan siya ni Isaac dahil maganda siya, she covered her face. Isaac saw first her character as the servant narrates it until she became his wife. At dahil precious kami, gaya gaya kami sa kanya para di lang kami magustuhan out of appearance, but of chracter. Hahaha! Oha oha! “Who is that man walking through the fields to meet us?” she asked the servant. And he replied, “It is my master.” So Rebekah covered her face with her veil. Then the servant told Isaac everything he had done. And Isaac brought Rebekah into his mother Sarah’s tent, and she became his wife. He loved her deeply, and she was a special comfort to him after the death of his mother. (Genesis 24:65-67 NLT) #itsnotthatcomplicated #isaacandrebekah #CoveredWithVeil #Genesis24 #betterthang2b
