Hey, I don't know if I've asked this before but what kind of biology are you interested in?
Oh, I don’t think you did ask before. I like all Biology as a whole, but for you and others who are curious, I take an especially great interest in Genetics. I think the process of seeing how traits are passed down from generation to generation is fascinating!
Like, a while back, when I couldn’t decide what Maggy and Cullen’s sons (Cyril and Thames) would look like, I actually started thinking about it in terms of genetics. Consider what traits are usually dominant (for things like hair color, eye color), what sort of bell curve was possible for other traits, such as height. Consider other types of things like mutations, etc.
I think a punnet square may or may not have been involved, but was certainly considered.
I have also joked with my friend that if I were sent to Thedas I would try to build a PCR machine and a Sequencer so after I killed a High Dragon I could sequence its DNA. Because it would be so cool to see what kind of DNA a dragon has, you know?
XD
Someone told me I looked like I was 23... Not even bothered :-)
So, my boyfriend and I concluded that if we were to ever get married and have kids, and one of them turns out to have:
-blonde hair (him)
-naturally tan skin (mine)
-brown eyes (mine)
...it'd be a thiefshipping baby, and we'd have to name him/her in honor of the pairing (mainly, my idea).
If he had blue eyes, I'd just name him Malik (disregarding ethnicity), because lavender eyes rarely exist anyway, and he'd be beautiful, and I'd love him forever!
